Elvis could hit every note on the musical scale. He had 50 different singing voices.Who else has 50 different ones? The famous opera singer Pavoratti said Elvis can sing like me but I cant sing like Elvis. So yes Elvis has the greatest singing voice of all. Nobody matches his passion, sex appeal beauty talent and dance moves.Nobody.
Actually Shirley? Entertainer isn't the most accurate description of elvis presley. Elvis presley left behind a critically acclaimed body of work in the recording studio, in multiple genres of music. That's the very definition of an iconic artist. The likes of which may never be seen again. He was soul depth and diversity personified.
Strong voice. His capacity is tremendous. He could sing anything. The more you listen to his music, the more you will be amazed with how many different voices he had. There is no question certain singers stay in there comfort zone (and nothing wrong with that). Mick Jagger is Mick Jagger and there is no mistaking that. There is no mistaking Adam Levine in a song either. Elvis is not the same on Hound Dog as in Suspicious Minds. Money Honey is not the same as Long Black Limousine. His evolution proved what he could do with his voice. Presley is and was a vocal phenom.
I laughed when you said "no auto tunes" There were no such things as auto tunes back then. It was all pure vocals. All performers. No mixing or sampling. People actually mastered their voices and instruments. Everyone was raw talent. Unlike today where the music industry manufactures talent and sells it to the world.
And just think, this was the closing number of a special. He has been singing for hours. Unlike today’s special, there was no long list of guest stars. Elvis was the only featured singer. He sang every song. He PERFORMED the whole show. And still had the energy to do this performance at the end. The last song of the show even better than the first. Remarkable.
This is 100% The words of this song were lost because you stopped in the middle of a significant line If I can dream of a (stop) land Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Loved your reaction. You have around 700 more songs of Elvis to react to. Good Luck. I have been a Fan of E since 1956 n yes I m old now but E music keeps me young. I only got to one of his concerts 1973 Aloha Concert that was broadcasted around the world n seen by 1.5 Billion people. I sat 3rd Row center n could not take my eyes off of him. I was 21. This man sang RNR, western, Ballads, n Gospel. He read the Bible everyday n sang gospel songs almost every night of his short life. He won 3 Grammys for all his Gospel Music, gave most of his money away to many charitys, people he didn't even know but knew they needed help. He gave away houses, trips, Cadillacs, Trips, Motorcycles, etc. React to Suspicious Minds 1970 Vagus, Burning Love 1973 Hawaii, Where No One Stands Alone singing duet with her Daddy. He died when she was 9 n now in her 50's.wanted to make this dream come true. She did another duet I love " Don't Cry Daddy" You must react to American Trilogy 1973 Hawaii( find the one he is wearing his white jump suit wearing a yellow lei, a red / white lei n red silk scarf). Thank you for keeping E music alive
Good stuff. You are barely touching the surface of this man's amazing versatility and talent. The most versatile and talented Entertainer to ever grace the Earth. If you continue down this road I am sure you will understand. Thanks man. God bless you.
Elvis is one of the most recognized & famous people in music history, & no doubt, one of the most talented, however his heart & love for humanity, is his true legacy 💚💜💗💚💜 I wish with every fiber of my being, that his dream would come true right now!!! Thank you for your respectful reaction!!!
Elvis was a master craftsman of his art,not one performer comes close. He only sang this song on this show,to show respect for Martin Luther King who had been assassinated a few months earlier.🥇

Earl Brown Elvis Presley Lyrics There must be lights burning brighter somewhere Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue If I can dream of a better land Where all my brothers walk hand in hand Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true There must be peace and understanding sometime Strong winds of promise that will blow away All the doubt and fear If I can dream of a warmer sun Where hope keeps shining on everyone Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear We're lost in a cloud With too much rain We're trapped in a world That's troubled with pain But as long as a man Has the strength to dream He can redeem his soul and fly Deep in my heart there's a trembling question Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle And while I can think, while I can talk While I can stand, while I can walk While I can dream, please let my dream Come true, right now Let it come true right now Oh yeah Recorded: 1968/06/23, first released on single.... And that is now history forever ....
"If I Can Dream" , written by Walter Earl Brown most notable for its direct quotations of Martin Luther King Jr.'s 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech. The song was published by Elvis Presley's music publishing company Gladys Music, Inc. It was recorded by Presley in June 1968, just two months after King's assassination. The recording was first released to the public as the finale of Presley's '68 Comeback Special. Brown was asked to write a song to replace "I'll Be Home for Christmas" as the grand finale on NBC's "Elvis", 1968 . Knowing about Presley’s fondness for Martin Luther King Jr., and about his devastation related to his then-recent assassination, he wrote "If I Can Dream" with Presley in mind.
"Technically he doesn't have that great of a voice"!! Understatement of the century, this was wrote for him after the assassination of the great Martin Luther King he was deeply moved by his death and poured everything he had into this performance widely regarded as possibly the greatest solo live performance of all time. Brings many people to tears when they watch this me included. He touches your soul.
“Technically he doesn’t have that great of a voice.” WHAT??! As compared to who? Even the great opera singers like Pavarotti and Domingo were in awe of his voice let alone his compatriots in the genres of rock and roll, rhythm and blues, gospel and country.
@@memphisflashfan1 Hi mate. If you read the comment I was quoting what someone else said I said it was an understatement that they said that. I'm Elvis's biggest fan been listening and studying his music for 40yrs. He has no equal now, in the past or future. His vocals and interpretation is otherworldly.
He was passionate about this song, he sung this after Martin Luther King Jr and Robert Kennedy were assassinated. He had to make the suits in charge of his special ket him do this song or he wasn't doing the show. He was a man from a poor family who wanted to make music. Became something all the money people wanted a peace of. He spent 10 yrs making movies under contract that he didn't want to do because he sighed the deal without realizing they were going to let him act. They wanted him to show up, be pretty , sing, dance, get the girl and smile. The specials and such was him trying to get the rest of his life back. He made gospel albums also the money people didn't want him to do those either, but they were the songs of him heart.
He may not have the most technical voice but you are making it sound like it wasn't good...you said he "overcame it" with his stage presence. His voice was amazing and he could sing any song style.
THIS WAS Avery special song when MLK was assassinated Elvis took it very badly and it hurt him so much because it happened in Memphis where Elvis lived he took it very hard so he asked a friend if he could write a song and Elvis told him why he needed the song so this is what was written just for Elvis he loved the song and when he sang it he put his all into the song as you’ve just seen he was a beautiful man and I still miss him every day love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴🏴🏴💖👼👼👸🏻👸🏻👍👋😘XX

@@patticriss2238 ... I saw him in June of 1976 in Buffalo, NY and he did “Hurt” twice in a row. It sounded spectacular both times! It was a great concert! Glad I got to see him before he died 👏🏻💫🎤🥰‼️
This was a tribute song to MLK’s life & his famous speech, “I have a Dream.” Listen time him sing, “In the Ghetto” & “Gloria Hallelujah” & & “Suspicious Minds”
Hawksmere Actually? You're wrong about his vocal ability. Sure on "if I can dream" his vocals weren't polished. His voice was soul depth and diversity personified! We can take you through his critically acclaimed body of studio recordings, where his tonal quality and power are second to none. "It's now or never" 1960 studio recording. Elvis presley possessed a chameleon voice. It changed multiple times in a very very short career. His voice was nothing short of remarkable. And his tremendous soul depth and diversity, unequaled. An iconic artist, the likes of which may never be seen again.
Were do you people come from .... You said his vocals were not polished .... Really Brad Really .... You better listen again till you hear just how astonishing his vocals are .... That was displayed as the man was crowned King from that very moment on .... Just because this guy has never heard Elvis before then make a statement that it was not the best voice .... Does not mean a thing .... In time he will realize just how wrong he was .... I hope for your sake.... That you will too ....
Listen through all his songs then React. That way you get essence and feel deep meanings of the words. So you and your subscribers can enjoy the song together. I haven't subscribed yet as I want to see more.
Please react to My Way..Aloha Hawaii 1973 and see if you think he isn't almost perfect and by the way there was no auto tune or and gadget to make a horrible singer sound great back then like there is now! Thanks ✌
