Yes it was hard to watch... he needed to rest and get back in shape but Col Parker never allowed him to rest. He was struggling but gave his all bless him loved him then and still do. Trying to get to you was much better he was a master of the blues

I have often wondered if he had his Mother in mind when he sang this song at that point in his life. He had the most beautiful voice ever as long as he was alive. The best entertainer ever. A gorgeous man who was taken advantage of in so many ways. He was a generous and unreal, talented man. He gave his all to his fans and praise to his Lord through his performances. So many performances back to back and never got enough rest and he was so ill. The prescription drugs helped lessen his pain so he could continue to bring a smile and happiness to all. He loved to perform and took his responsibility serious as he had a big payroll to pay that provided a living for a lot of people and their families. Trying to live up to an image as he was expected to do is enough stress to cause anyone's body to give out. Thankfully, we have Graceland, his pictures and videos and beautiful memories to keep him in our hearts and lives forever and to pass along to future generations. Miss him so much and still love him for the man he was and the God given talents he shared around the world. I hope everyone can visit Graceland at least once and recognize how much he accomplished in his short lifetime and the contributions to the music industry and to our society. Get to know him yourself and you can appreciate the depth and intellect of the man offstage as well as the man on stage. Both are unforgettable.

Things were different back then unfortunately. He didn’t realize he was killing himself. Plus he had guilt on him he had to keep performing to keep up the payroll for so many. It’s easy to place judgement. It’s a sad situation.

Elvis was truly amazing, yes he was older and looked overweight but I can tell you I have never seen a singer able to keep the range that Elvis was able to keep right up to the end, The most amazing singer/ entertainer this world has ever seen. Es ist furchtbar traurig das so ein Mensch wie Elvis einen Monat später, nach dieser Show starb. Was ist ein Menschenleben? Ein wertvoller, einzigartiger Mensch mit seinen Wünschen, Sehnsüchten, Liebenswürdigkeiten, mit seinen Fehlern und mit seinen Stärken, ist einfach nicht mehr da, auf dieser Welt. Man kann es einfach nicht fassen, verstehen, nicht fühlen. Es ist ein Gedanke der immer fremd bleibt. Aber das ist so,weil Gott unser Schöpfer uns die Ewigkeit ins Herz gegeben hat, deshalb ist es für uns nicht normal wenn wir sterben und deshalb trauern wir auch so sehr und können schwer, oder garnicht loslassen.
