You R right! CB was a genius songwriter and owned the stage and his guitar. BUT... ELVIS was and IS still THE GENIUS SINGER, SO GOOD LOOKING, EXCITING!!! You guys who weren't there just can't know. HE ROCKED THE STAGE, the TUNES, the GIRLS, the WORLD. HE CHANGED HISTORY of songs and solidified ROCK n' ROLL FOREVER. AMEN.
One of my favorites, there will never be anyone with a voice like ELVIS, and certainly not as handsome. He changed music and definitely helped those in need, he never forgot where he come from. A LEGEND NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN!! SO THANKFUL TO SEE HIM IN CONCERT MANY TIMES AND VISITED GRACELAND!!! AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE THAT WILL REMAIN WITH ME FOREVER!! RIP ELVIS, WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!! 😪💔🤗🙏👑🌟⚡️🎸🎤
Elvis's voice is like aged smooth bourbon flowing out of the bottle. It just doesnt get better than this. Almost gives me chills hearing his talent. Good singers sound good great singers have their own style then there are guys (let's be honest its not plural lol) like Elvis who sound amazing and have their own style and make it work.
daniel ferry I was at Graceland earlier this year for the very first time and had an amazing time! Looking forward to going back again and again. Loved Sun, and Beale, the Peabody, and the music history. What a fantastic place.
Elvis is in a different hemisphere compared to any other singer out there. He had something so rare that you can't name it but its why even after 35 yrs he is still selling records & his home is so popular!, he was a GIFT!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELVIS JANUARY 8th 1935. It is hard to believe Elvis would be 80. Elvis lives on in our hearts, and in great music. There will never be another Elvis.
I don't care if Elvis didn't write his own songs. All the songs he tackled, he took them to such high levels. No one will beat the king. If I had been born much earlier, I would have sold everything here in Sweden and gone to the United States just to see him stand on stage one day. Today's artists are crap on par with Elvis. He is god. I'm saving money right now to go to Memphis
Please don't call him God. He would not like that at all. He often said not to call him "king" because the only King is Jesus Christ. Elvis loves God deeply, and would be ashamed to use His Almighty name for himself.
I love this song. Listen to it over and over. Amazing singer Elvis, what was it like to be him? So many fans and growing all the time. Thank God for Elvis Presley. Never forget him.
THANK YOU for spelling his middle name the way his mom wanted it!! She KNEW what she was doing. Don't know if she knew just what she had created, though...
Elvis is so perfect. I cried on his movies "Wild in the Country" and "Flaming Star" last night. He is not just a good singer. He really can act.He is so good looking.God sent.
I seen Elvis 1972 in Pittsburgh, Pa,. Every age group and all walks of life was there. Elvis appealed to everyone of the time and even today his fan base continues to grow!
Johnny Rivers stoled this song from Elvis. Hours of Johnny Rivers were friends and was invited to Elvis's house in California. And Elvis couldn't wait to play the song for Johnny Rivers. Johnny Rivers kept rent and all the how good the song was that Elvis was get ready to cut. Johnny Rivers wasted no time. Elvis Presley heard the song singing by Johnny Rivers on the radio. Daddy Rivers went number two on the charts. Ours did not make a big deal over at eagles if he really needs that song needs that hit. With that being said I was never invited any rivers back to his home they no longer we're friends. When I was decided to finally record a song. Edit do as well because everybody's already heard the song. Cut the song too soon either. Because all the fans would think that I was copied off of Johnny, because Johnny Rivers recorded the song and play the song exact same arrangement that I was probably just going to do it. This was 1964 when Chuck Berry wrote the song. Chuck Berry also performed the song live. In my opinion it didn't come close to even Elvis' version.
Elvis changed everything, people didn't want change. Some people of that time hated him. He was very ahead of his time. He had such class. He knew how to dress, he knew how to turn on the charm, and most of all he could sing anything. Rock, country, blues, gospel, the man had it all. He was so handsome. I mean handsome. When he grinned or laughed women melted. He was not putting on, that was just Elvis. He gave so much to people that needed help. The world was a better place with Elvis in it. I think he just gave up. We know a lot more about depression today than we did in 1977. God called him home. That is what I believe. Thank You for the video.
And he wasnt disrespectful. He knew the values of the United States...He had good parenting. You had to be a real jackball not to like Elvis. Even my Grandparents who didnt like the idea of a "rock and roll" star, admired his love of family, service to his country and his patriotic nature. And my dad and I loved the voice.....never ever to be replicated..ever ever ever
i saw his parents on a vidoe somewhere and they seemed so happy content people,. i cannot think of any star who had the audience captivated as much as elvis had,.
I DID live in Memphis back in the good old days! And it was WONDERFUL!! HE was WONDERFUL!!! Memphis DID ROCK with Elvis!!!!! And some of it still does...
It sounds as if Elvis wanted to speak to little Lisa Marie. It's a sad but an absolutely LOVELY song - they both longed for each other - father and daughter!
Would gave been the BOMB LIVE IN THE 70'S, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF 60,,'S RECORDINGS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LIVE IN THE 70'S, THIS IS DEF ONE OF THEM., STAY SAFE, AUSTRALIA, 🇦🇺🇺🇲❤️💯👍🆗
This is like the metal of the 60's...next to 'clean up your own backyard', this is one of my absolute faves!!! I like the bluesy elvis, like in Cry like a baby and Hard Luck (which is a huge recommender as well :) )
@@DjxNoizZza don't 🤔 so the only one is Elvis and that's is the fact known one comes close to my gorgeous beautiful Elvis and will never do in my eyes so you have your opinion and I will have mine 👌
Elvis played his demo of this song to Rivers during a personal visit and indicated it was being considered as a single release. Rivers blatantly copied the King's version it and got his copy out first.Elvis never forgave him for that uncharitable act. This fact has been verified and corroborated by members of Elvis' entourage.
I'm from the Generation after this, I am glad I had parents that introduced me to all this great music from back than. But nothing and nobody comes even close to Elvis! He truly was the king
