I've bought parts from Elvis. He's great to work with and a man of his word. Yes his stuff costs, but when you need it and they don't make it no more… you know the story.
I live in Sonoma county. I just drove past this guy on the hwy and looked him up. So crazy you can look up a random fellow motorist and learn about their life within moments. Also, the "S" on Elvis looks like a German SS lightning bolt. That's the only reason I even looked him up

On to what you were saying about "Paid Vacations", hourly wages, etc; The only way I've ever gotten a vacation is to quit my job. I resorted to working flat Commission, hourly sucks. We all have choices in life. I'm retired, own my own home and just pay utilities, property taxes and gas and have been riding the fuck out of my Harley's for over 40 yrs. I do sell a few Bagger parts on ebay but always start out at $9.99 no matter what it is, and if it sells for 10 bucks oh well... His shit is still way over priced.

got a 83 shovel fxr basket, built it from the bottom up, heat cycled a few times, been sitting a couple years, still fires right up, haven't ridden it yet hahaha, got 4 shovels and 6 ironheads, do I have a sickness?

I do not k now this guy personally, so I cannot comment his character. But would I buy from him? NOT A CHANCE. His prices on second hand FXR parts are nothing but a rip off. Absolute ridiculous prices. He should hang is head in shame.
I don't begrudge him asking a premium for his parts because that's how economics works. But if I were looking for FXR parts I would exhaust all the other avenues before I bought from him because..... that's how economics works.
Look, I admire a person who works hard BUT his prices are outrageous. He just about cornered the fxr market and feels like he is the shit. I sent him a msg about his prices and I received a sarcastic letter back. I always try to support the independent shops but only fair people
I used to enjoy riding... a LOT, austin p... with 4 trips out to Sturgis and back, multiple trips to the Love Ride in LA, Hollister, Laughlin, etc.... but we just had a Granddaughter enter the picture.... so this 50 year old has gone and slowed way down. Also, "working 7 days a week" doesn't mean constantly swinging a hammer... it means that I'm constantly trying to figure out a way to pay next month's bills... and move forward in life. It's not always easy but needs to be thought about constantly.

I disagree with the opening thought. I learned how good getting great money was at 18 15$ an hour my first jib. And I worked dry hard for it. And I starve and am hungry for more and I push myself to make more money each job I get.

Oh I think if you want a part and it's pristine you pay the money. So many people fucked up there FXRs. That's why they're the money bike.
