It’s so crazy after seeing the new Elvis movie, Austin Butler REALLY did his homework and got Elvis’s moves for each specific performance to the letter!!
I think it’s really funny ,that his moves were considered so provocative back in the day ,it’s nothing compared to the musicians outfits today ,he was such a handsome man….gone too soon, gone way to soon.
He learned from Blacks folks calm down.. he look oddly weird trying to have R&B moves. To white people it s brand new to us it’s not “wtf are you doing”.
Bro go look up old black Church dance nd wen they catch the while holy ghost thats were he learn.dem from cuz wen.he was.young he always went to black Church
Presley ALREADY had a recording contract with RCA before He ever even heard an Otis Blackwell demo. Prior to His RCA contract He had already made 19 recordings at SUN studios. He already had His sound & His act by 1954. Blackwell's first tune for Elvis? 1956. Who wrote most hits for Elvis during the 1950's ? Lieber & Stoller , not Blackwell
He expressed his music throughout his being and body. It's funny to look at how tame these moves look today yet in the 1960s he was considered risqué and every parent feared him. That's why he was only shot from the mid section up on the Ed Sullivan show. Imagine if they saw Beyoncé in 1962! In any case, he had a magical voice and created some incredible heart-felt music that will never be forgotten and he laid the groundwork for so many to come. Thank you Elvis for everyone you touched and the beautiful music you left us. 💖
Beyonce? How about the one Beyonce got it from... MADONNA! hello! But you are so right he was the most dangerous man on the planet. Personally, he's way to PERFECT, He shocked the WORLD and changed most us and everyone's culture forever.
@@davidhennen7045 Indeed! Lol. But Madonna mostly posed and Beyoncé actually moved. That's why I thought of her. But if we're getting technical, Michael and Janet started the dance moves that led to the choreographed song and dance videos that now predominate. But we can look back to Elvis and singers like Hank Ballard (The Twist) who got things rocking and rolling while bumping and grinding on stage.
i don't know.. I'd say musicians today are fucking lame compared to Elvis xD either they behave like a stripper or they just go down and twerk .. maybe breakdance? was that the exciting part? Elvis on the other hand: hip thrusting, dry humping, cowboy swinging, finger gunning shakes all within same minute haha
I believe at a concert in Alabama tgere were police stationed at the concert to arrest him if he so much as twitched his hips. So Elvis wiggled his little finger at them.
@@randalladams100 I've seen footage from the early nineteen hundreds restored and it's fantastic. They should start doing that with old rock and roil footage. It would be so cool to see.
Its a shame that some white Americans at the time thought these moves as they said "degraded him to the Negra" but i think it promoted him to a unique position of combining what he learned growing up watching blacks with how he genuinely felt as a white man hearing music that moved him bringing together both cultures
I remember the TV refused to show him from the waist down. What they failed to realize is he grew up going to black churches. He had the Holy Ghost and knew about "falling out". 💜
@@kiraw1874 he actually didn't. He always gave props to originators being black. He never claimed to be an originator. And if you are from Memphis, there are so many old black people around here that always talked about how kind and good things elvis did for them in secret.
@@kiraw1874 You sound naive and oblivious. You are also spewing lies. Anybody who knows anything about Elvis know different. Many of the famous black singers of the time, like BB King and Little Richard LOVE Elvis and say different. They also say they made more money after Elvis drew awareness to their sound. It is well documented. FACTS !
@@kiraw1874 Elvis never forgot about anybody. He continued to give credit where credit was due up until the day he was gone. One of the most humble and beautiful entertainers who ever lived.
theres no other vocal cord s like this King of Tantric dance he was a lover he gave himself to the audience those hips teach boys to be men....without the pills
Elvis’ stage presence is unlike any other. He truly showed who he really was, and how much he poured his life and soul into his music. What an extraordinary human being, and performer. A legend like him will never die.
Those moves, that body belongs to only one man ever to preformed . Thanks for this beautiful video of Elvis' moves & dances. I'm still his fan throughout this years. I was 15 & in love. I'm 79 & still waiting when he comes out. What A Night.
You now see all these moves in punk rock and pop through history. Even Billie joe Armstrong’s signature stance at the microphone was clearly inspired by Elvis.
Really one of a kind on so many levels. Still talking about him forty years later and as great as other performers are there is nobody dressing up like the Beatles and parachuting into Las Vegas. He was bigger than them all as a social phenomenon
i got up a clip were they remixed a big hunk of love lot of dance moves in it my 6 yr old grandaughter couldnt stop staring at elvis dancing haha he was a good entertainer though and georgous to boot rip elvis
…ELVIS, what a great artist and extraordinary singer. He arranged and executed any song he wanted with his beautiful vocal timbre and baritonal register. He delivered greatly and effortlessly both in high tessitura rock and roll with an effectively projected scream, and in slow, soft and romantic songs in a low key. Sometimes he intoned with the sound and nuances of a black singer's voice, and sometimes the accents and inflections in his interpretation were also that of a black singer. He was also praiseworthy in his performances with his gestures and energetic and provocative body movements. Splendid he was without a doubt.
Love this video. thank you from New Zealand and Samoa 🇼🇸. he will never be forgotten. The latest Movie is Number 1 in the box office n kicked off Top Gun. 2022 and new fans created. His legacy will always continue. RIP Sir EP. Your fans and non fans are keeping your legacy alive.👑👑
Yeah people commented on his dancing in his moving on stage they ask his mother ❤️Gladys ❤️why Elvis move all over the place all crazy and she said he just has so much energy in his body and it's the only way he can release it he's got a lot of energy and he did that energy throughout his whole career🥰 and I hope that he faked his death😚 and was able to live the rest of his life free😍 from being a prisoner in his own body 😛😍he gave us himself and deserved to have peace and quiet long live the. 🥰🥰🥰KING😍🤩🤓🇺🇸🇺🇸🎸🎸🎸❤️. I’ve always studied the likes of David Bowie, Michael Jackson, etc. the big pop stars because I absolutely love dancing more than anything in the world, but I can’t believe until now I’ve never searched up Elvis and what he did. Very charming guy and some fantastic moves
Elvis is still alive. I just heard him signing a song to his wife.. Elvis Enterprises knows he’s alive. And if anyone doesn’t believe he’s alive, watch and listen to Pastor Bob Joyce play the piano and sing Can’t Help Falling In Love for his wife!
Waouh......quel danseur....... Elvis.......je comprends qu'il déclenchait des émeutes féminines lors de ses concerts 😁😀😉...... merci pour cette vidéo 😀🌻💐
Ever time I see Elvis do his signature dance and pose, especially from his Vegas shows I have a big’ol smile and laugh. And I’m not laughing at him I’m laughing I guess out of joy. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
@@stillafineline5749 well yea, cus his genre is a classic and you can’t really compare to it as there’s no real contenders. MJ is the king of pop, Elvis the king of rock, and idk who the king of rap would be 🤷♂️
