Ladies & Gentlemen, no matter how you say it , He truly was the KING there will be no other to that throne. & to coin an old phrase ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING.
I love Elvis Presley I live in uk and !I've his voice the range he has is unbelievable. And he puts all his heart into every song he is handsome loved his smile. Xxx
This was the rehearsal .. he was born to sing gospel his voice is effortless n his delivery is sublime!! Greatest voice there will ever be!! Still touching people 43 years later!! Phenomenal !!
I played it at my Dads funeral . It was a cold misty rain day and when this song started the clouds parted and the sun shined down directly on his casket. When the song ended the clouds closed. Beautiful moment!
I first saw a Elvis presley show on tv when I was six back then I thought he was the was the best singer and performer in the world I wasn't wrong his music still touches people today he was like a prophet who got his message out through his powerful performances
It's so true what you said about the whole world loving him.... and they did! I was married to a man from Iran, and he said in the sixties and seventies, in Iran, his brother and others wore their sideburns and hairstyles like Elvis... and a female Iranian friend told how the first time she saw him on a movie screen, she stood up and called out to him "Here I am Elvis! Here I am!" Ha ha ha! The whole world fell head over tails in love with him....
This beautiful man was made for this song he was from the south loved gospel and loved his country and only can pull this song off with the passion and emotion and the power in his voice Elvis just makes us feel it deep down in your heart and soul
I was born in "Little Dixie" and we sang these three songs in school and church! I love this song. I've told my family I want this song played at my funeral. I have the bonnet my Mom made out of her dress that I wore to the Cotton Fields! I remember picking Cotton beside my family and a lot of black families. We ate and shared our lunch under the same shade tree!!! No problems!!!!
Elvis: ONLY BELIEVE, YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE, MILKY WHITE WAY, MAMA LIKED THE ROSES, HARD LUCK, RECONSIDER BABY, MY BABY LEFT ME, WHERE DID THEY GO LORD, HOW THE WEB WAS WOVEN, I BELIEVE, I JOHN. Thank u.
Once you see this video you know, you have seen the greatest of all time. I am so thankful I was able to experience his career. I remember music before Elvis and once he arrived on the scene, music was never the same. RIP Elvis.
You will Elvis' spirit on the grounds and in the house at Graceland. When you walk through the front door, right above you is his bathroom where he died.....in the foyer is where his casket was for all the fans to come in and see him laying in state....it's an experience you'll never forget!!!
My mother passed away at 12:25 a.m. on January 8, 2008 on what would have been Elvis's 73rd birthday. We have a friend who sings Elvis songs and so we asked him to sing this at mom's service. Glad to hear you are going to Graceland. My niece and oldest sister have been there. It is on my bucket list to do someday.
Elvis' voice alone will leave you awestruck and then when you add in his powerful charisma, that is when it goes into the place of Elvis leaves people speechless, at a loss for any words that would properly describe him. No other word describes him other than to just say Elvis and his fans know. So happy you guys are going to Graceland. You won't be disappointed but you will have an amazing experience unlike anything else. I had only been an Elvis fan for under a year when I went and I had a spiritual experience. It's weird to explain but it truly feels like Elvis is still there and the house is alive.
A beautiful young lady, a handsome man, Love and Elvis. What else could you ask for. You have to watch some of his movies. He had the most charisma ever.

This brings me to tears anytime I hear this song, it represents freedom, I leave the land of cotton to get North to come back ready to fight for freedom
This was the first concert in history to go satellite around the world. It was a live concert from Honolulu Hawaii in 1973. It was way before the internet and cable television. It was watched by over a billion people worldwide. It set a record no one has ever surpassed. He (Elvis Presley) was Rock & Roll royalty. We are blessed to see and hear performances such as this from him and, for generations to come. Awesome upload on the greatest concert the world has ever seen.
American Trilogy is a very moving song because it embraces three different aspects of US history and Elvis's life. It is a medley of three songs: Dixie was considered an unofficial Confederate anthem during the Civil War (Elvis was born and bred in the south that he loved), All My Trials (the one that included the flute solo) was an African-American spiritual song and was popular during the social protest movements of the 50's and 60'a (Elvis was raised around black gospel, people and culture and loved it), and the Glory Hallelujah piece is from the Battle Hymn of the Republic and was a marching song of the Union Army as they fought against the Confederate Army in the Civil War (Elvis was a proud American patriot).
I watched that performance live and I have seen this video 50 times since. I cannot hear this without tears. The history behind those songs stirs memories of pain and joy.
Gospel music was his first love he only sang rock ‘n’ roll to pay the bills. When he was growing up in Mississippi in the 1930s the elderly Black people who lived in his town were all former slaves. And he heard them sing in church the same gospel songs. He learned that passion from the source.
The passion he felt singing that song was so strong it almost knocked him over ... The thunder and power of his vocals shook the walls of the arena that night!!!!! Magnificent. When you announced you were going to Graceland I got tears in my eyes.I am so glad you are going to see his home that he loved so much. Mel...take some kleenex...you may need it especially at the gravesite...but it is an experience worth having....stay safe and well🌻
American Trilogy is an amazing song and the aloha show was a stunning performance. I'm English and even I can tell the passion love and belief Elvis had in his country. Ive been Lucky enough to have visited Graceland 6 times incredible place, when you go make sure you go down Dolan drive which runs down the side of the Graceland estate and see elvis's Dad's house lovely house. Also while you're in Memphis try and go on the trip to the sun Studios and vist Beale Street and lanskys the clothing shop where Elvis used to buy his clothes especially in his early career. If you can would you try and react to Elvis singing funny how time slips away from 1972 Elvis on tour movie. Elvis was in the armoured tank division while in the army
Beautiful gospel song. Love your reactions. ❤ Answer to the question with a little more details. Elvis served in US Army. His rank was Sergeant E-5. Awards- GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL. He was offered the chance to enlist in special services, he chose to serve as a regular soilder. Sending peace, blessings, love, to you and your family always. My favorite couple, yes, you are.⚘
I just love watching you both i am trying figure out how to get the young people to hear elvis I really think will discover what music is really about its the heart
Elvis did 2 Aloha From Hawaii shows. 1 was rehearsal & after watching the show they determined Elvis needed a hair cut & fine tuned some songs for the real show that would be broadcast to over 1 billion people worldwide for the 1st time ever satellite .. Still to this day this show is the most watched
Fantastic reaction to an amazing performance. As mentioned earlier the performance for the actual live show was even better if that's possible. It makes me so happy to see Elvis still giving so much love and enjoyment to people all around the world. Boy do we need it at this time.
This performance was from the "warm-up" concert the bight before the main "Aloha From Hawaii" concert that was shown around the world. The video from the main show is even better than this one. As other people have said the name of the song is An American Trilogy". It was made up of "Dixie" a southern song, "All My Trials" which was a lullaby brought from the Bahamas and sung as an African-American folk song and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" a Union Army marching song.
Hi my alamea ...little sister🌺 I wish we could all meet there and share the experience together. Stay well my friend...thinking of you and glad my phone is working again...sending love and hugs🌻💗
@@alameas6358 yes!!! I'll start packing...give me a few minutes...I'll be ready!! If love could reawaken him he would have been "gone from us" for only a second!💗❤💓💕💞💖🌻
Wow, You are going to Graceland? That is awesome. I have wanted to visit Graceland for years but never had the privilege. I hope you enjoy your trip. Your reaction is great. You both were emotional. It is an emotional performance. What a powerful song and vocal performance. You are right, who can sing like Elvis? I believe the secret of his greatness was his passion for music and hs passion for the Lord. I agree with everything you said. Yes, Elvis is the G.O.A.T.
Hey Fam thanks for watching and we are saving up the money sent to us from our awesome subscribers for the trip. We really appreciate you for watching ❤️❤️
You will love it. We went for his 85th birthday celebration back in January it was awesome, we are planning to go back because we missed a lot of the celebrations. When you go make sure to eat at Marlow's BBQ the booth Elvis use to sit in is still there. Food is awesome
@@teresaalford856 That is awesome that you were there on Elvis' Birthday celebration.I can imagine how exciting it was. The BBQ restaurant sounds like it has good food. Wow, the booth that Elvis himself sat in is still there. That is cool.
