Went to Inverness a year ago to visit and I bought a tshirt. I actually have family friends who live in Inverness, so cool to drive by where Elvis filmed a movie every time I drive to their house.

Elvis is such a powerful force, that this real courthouse, actually took the time, and finances to redesigned it to the original build. That in it self, is very profound. Only if Elvis could see this, he would be so impressed. He truly was "Regal"

This is in my top five Elvis movies. Love the courtroom scene - Elvis does such a fantastic acting job in that scene. I also love the scene at the bank - its so funny! Can't wait for part 2.

Elvis didn't need acting lessons just The right Scripts and when he got the right script he was fantastic wild in the country kid Galahad flaming star jailhouse Rock first class movies great performances nobody could have done those roles better the right movies Elvis already had natural talent follow that dream live a Little Love he was also good comedy and fight scenes talented actor with versatility no telling what he would have done with the right management a lot of his movies very underrated

I love the clothes, especially the shirts he used to wear in the 60s. Button down high collared well tailored shirts and his fabulous haircuts of the day. The suit he's wearing in the book was made by Sy Devore of Hollywood. His other clients were Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis.

Boy, it's amazing, Spa Guy: Arthur O'Connell played Elvis' father in "Follow that Dream," then played Elvis' cousin, Pappy Tatum in "Kissin' Cousins" a couple of years later; also, Roland Winters played the judge in "Follow that dream," and just before played Elvis' father in "Blue Hawaii!!" Angela Lansbury played Elvis' dizzy mom in "Blue Hawaii," then had a much more dramatic role in "The Manchurian Candidate," the year "Follow that dream" was released (1962). Interesting.

Love! Love! Love! Oh my goodness Follow That Dream is one of Elvis best he was talking enthusiastically about it when he met with UK fan club. The courthouse looks amazing and they've done a good job restoring it to how it was from the photos..good to see drone footage of it. Such a cool video.

This is an amazing video as always Billy. I just assumed that the "courthouse" was a set, not a real one. Glad to know all this info, this town is so pretty and the courthouse is beautiful. Beautiful area from your drone shots. I found it interesting about the palm trees and painting the dead ones. lol Who knew?! Not me. Thanks for another great video that brought so much info to us Elvis fans. So many places to see and go, wish I could go to them all.

Thanks for showing lovely locale and building. In the film, inside building was shown. Besides Elvis' great work in the film, he also gave a great audio interview during production which I first heard on the 1980 silver album, released by RCA records for their then 25 year anniversary with Elvis. It's been heard as both an interview and monologue.

Wow!!! Just really like and enjoy vids that make history come alive ! Extra liked the pic of Elvis/co star standing on ct balcony ( columns ) with gas station in background. And that fire hydrine looked original. Imagine bringing in a Elvis fan and getting them to stand on that balcony where Elvis stood and then telling the fan .....you know where your standing well..... Not that we make Elvis steps like the footprints of Jesus.....it's just the respect and honour we have for Elvis...not perfect guy but a guy that God is still using to this very day ! A forgiven man and a man who honoured God on stage ...Elvis most times sang a gospel song in his concerts when it was not cool to do so. Your batting the ball outta the park with this one. God bless the lady and man in the ct house museum too.

It is really interesting seeing the actual court house building where the movie was filmed, and I really enjoy how you match the backgrounds of photos of Elvis to prove where they were taken. I went through there about 5 years ago. Saw the courthouse and the bridge area which is still very isolated. Unchanged really, minus the sand an palm trees. Bridge and road are still the same. I’m sure Billy has every detail documented. A must see for Elvis fans.

Fun Fact=== A ten year old Tom Petty was invited to Ocala by his uncle who was working on Follow That Dream in 1961 to meet his music idol. Part of the film was shot in Ocala, at the old Ocala Bank and Trust building (now SunTrust downtown) What a cool uncle!

The courthouse has been well maintained. It is more beautiful today. I enjoyed the drone footage, crystal clear. When I visit Florida again I will be visiting the courthouse for sure! On another note, I have never heard of the book you mentioned in the video. I would love to see more of the book before purchasing it. It would be great if you would do a video with a flip-through. Billy, no expectations, only a video suggestion because I truly appreciate you and all of the Elvis content that you provide all of us Elvis fans. God Bless & stay safe! Looking forward to part 2.

Thanks for doing this video! I think this is an Elvis movie that people of all ages loved, and still do. I knew Follow That Dream was shot here, but I sure didn’t know about the courthouse being so involved with Elvis. I almost moved to this area about the time you made this video as my son is friends with the Sheriff of Citrus County, but not until then did I learn about Follow That Dream being filmed here. Big thumbs up!! We've been there too and made our own video and shared it on RU-vid, but it is nothing compared to yours! Did they mention to you, that the wooden chairs along the wall appear to be the original chairs used in the movie? I like that you pointed out the gas station in the background, I didn't know anything about it. Were you able to locate where the bait store that Holly went to is/was? I know they changed the layout of the roads years ago, so we weren't too sure where it was, but we know it was on the courthouse square. We are native Floridians, so we are very proud of this movie!! I look forward to the next 5 parts, I can't wait!!!

Been meaning for quite some time now to sit and watch Elvis's movies from the beginning as he filmed them..I mean who doesn't wanna watch a hunk hunk of burning love..I didn't catch the co stars name..watched twice ..a well persevered court room..i just wanna know if Elvis went to the tippy top of that roof..i bet it would be a neat view..God Bless
