The back ground singer on this song is my Grandfather, Gordon Stoker. He left this earth in 2013, but I am still so blessed to be able to hear him in the songs he sang!

He truly has an exceptional voice. I saw him live in 1975. I can tell you that a recording cannot capture his true singing voice. I am 85 and have listened to singers since the 40's and no one has his full voice. Even Sinatra went to his shows in Vegas.

When I was a college student in 1960 listened many songs of Elvis Presly. It was simply terrific. To day at this stage when almost touching 80 ,Elvis rock songs are fresh to me as it was in '60. Elvis rock songs will never old. Long live Elvis.

It also went to #1 in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Spain, and Sweden. It went to #2 in Ireland, #3 in Belgium & The Netherlands, #6 in Austria & Germany, and to #7 in France. It would finish at #20 for the year, 1962. In 1956 & 1957, Elvis had the #1 songs of both years. Can he do it again? Will Bobby Lewis repeat? Or will a new act take the torch? Stay tuned.

It's funny that as a teenager growing up, I took him for granted as they played his records all the time on the radio and I grew tired of him. Now at age 70 I'm scanning through utube and find myself listening to him again and realizing he was the best.

As a teen I have always been partial to Elvis and his music. At 73 years old I am still partial to Elvis and his music. When I listen to him sing, it is as he is still alive. I never think for a second he is gone home. He brings lots of memories .

Just lovely! I was a different kind of teen in the early 80’s, I fell hard for Elvis when others listened for 80’s glam rock. Still have my Elvis casettes, had to get them all and I have used them thoroughly.

@Mantai Luaa. I know exactly what you went through! I was a teen in the 80's as well and it was tough. When everyone else was listening to Madonna, Duran Duran and a Flock of Seagulls I was stuck in the 50's and 60's. It was very hard to relate to others my age especially girls but thank goodness for that neo Rockabilly revival when the Stray Cats arrived on the scene and of course Shakin Stevens. I've still got all my parents records who were teens in the 50's and I'll never part with them.
