It's crazy to think that in his time he was considered inappropriate and parents hated him and his music but then you look at the video's being put out now and I kinda wish we had his kind of inappropriate back.

First time listening to him, you get it. There's a reason Elvis was Elvis! Many many fine performers on the entire spectrum of music since time began. But some stand out as phenomenal and unforgettable. Elvis was one of those.

My Aunt, who is now in her 80’s, snuck out of her house when she was 16 to go see Elvis in a small town in Texas. He was super risqué in the day. Legend❤️

Those gyrating hips got Elvis in a lot of trouble in the 1950s on the Ed Sullivan show haha try looking up Elvis singing gospel you’ll be quite surprised he was quite a religious man.

Elvis could take an ok song and make it great. He had a gift for hearing a song and knowing how to give it a soul. His delivery fit the songs perfectly. A song like this, done wrong, could come off as silly. But he made it rocking and fun. Ans he just gave it that Elvis coolness. His other gift was being completely free and uninhibited. I never get the sense that he’s trying too hard to seem a certain way or sound a certain way to “make it work.” He truly felt the music. And wherever it took him, he went.

cupcakes22 What you think Elvis stole the song Jailhouse Rock? Think you will find It was written for him by Leiber & Stoller especially for the film. I remember watching a programme where Mike Stoller said the song was difficult to sing due to the amount of fast lyrics but Elvis managed fine.
