This video is about The Spa Guy introducing you to Roy Turner a Historian in Tupelo Mississippi who tells us what he has learned in his over 40 years researching Elvis history in Tupelo.. Don't forget to subscribe..
Thanks for sharing Billy. Interesting to listen to Roy Turner, but it is obvious that the family/friends didn't want him found by the public. Some things are better left alone.because there's people out there that would take advantage of it. Elvis thought a lot about his twin brother Jess Garon. Don`t you think Elvis will have look for the grave If if he didn`t knew where he was buried,? I believe Elvis had done everything in his power to find his grave.⚡️
I love listening to you two talk about Elvis history, the thing about it is you are both open to other people's interpretations and thoughts. Some 'experts' believe their word is the only truth. Thank you both, I could have listened to that conversation for hours!
There are some things that we can definitively know about this is something that no one really knows so I want to hear any and all angles of this story to figure it out..
You would think that with all the money and resources Graceland has it would be them putting this amount of effort into finding the young boy. Wonderful video, as usual, thank you so much for all that you do for us fans.
It looks like Elvis would have known where his twin was buried...because you KNOW he asked his mama & daddy. I know I would have asked at a young age, so I know Elvis did. My brother was 6 yrs old when he was hit and killed by a car, so it was like a ritual for my Mama to always carry flowers...then pull all of the weeds. Surely his parents visited his grave. It's a shame he's not buried at Graceland with the rest of his family. He deserved to be beside Elvis. Thanks for sharing 💙
I have always heard that because the Presleys were so poor, that Jesse was buried in a shoe box and buried in an unmarked grave. Anyone who knows anything about Elvis knows he would have relocated his brothers grave to Graceland. I believe that there was nothing left to relocate and Elvis was told that.
@@marciaallsbrook2335 That's what I was thinking...because I can't imagine Elvis not making sure he was at Graceland. It's the only way that makes any sense.
Well whole Elvis was alive nobody was buried at Graceland so Elvis probably just left his brother Jesse be cause he was buried at home where they both were born
I think if anyone knew what happened to Jesse it would be his brother Elvis. If he didn't know where he is I don't think anyone will find him. I think we should just let him RIP. We know he did exist at least. Thanks for trying to find him.
I thought Mr. Turner was going to tell us where Jessi was actually buried once in for all , but it was still pretty close . I could understand why they wouldn't want a lot of people knowing where he is buried though . I don't believe I've ever heard anyone say that Elvis and his mama & daddy use to visit Jessi's grave either , but I'm sure there are several people that do know and just keep quiet about it still to this day . Believe me , I want to know too , but I'm sure they don't say anything about it because there's people out there that would take advantage of it . That's what ruins it for the people that does care . Thank you Spa Guy for sharing this video . That was still very interesting .
Billy Smith came out recently and said Elvis and Gladys had security concerns around 1957 and they asked the Colonel to look into it. The family must have known the exact location and it’s remarkable Jesse wasn’t moved to Graceland after Elvis died
Very fascinating interview , I do believe the gentleman saw what he saw. But I believe this is one of those mysteries that may never be solved. Somethings are for God to know alone. We know one thing for sure God knows where Jesse’s body is and one day in the Resurrection morning we will all find out where he is
Jesse is NOT Buried in Meditation Garden. If He was There would Be a Proper Headstone and NOT Just a Plaque. Vernon Looked For Jesse's Grave So He Could Be Buried at Graceland,But He Could Not Find The Grave So They Put a Plaque In The Medication Garden Instead. I Really Think The Presley's would Know Better Than Amatures What Happened and The Truth about The Grave. Let Little Jesse Rest In Peace.
I doubt we will ever know the exact location of Jesse's grave and I think that is as it should be given what happened before Elvis and Gladys were moved to the safety of Graceland. I would hate for the location to be discovered and consequently be disturbed in anyway. As always though I do appreciate your myth busting and fact finding missions. I just think this one is better left unsolved, it's enough to know he is there...somewhere.
I believe that Jesse's grave is really not that important. I believe that Jesse is with Elvis and the Lord in Heaven. And that is the most important thing to me. I love your videos. SG. Keep up the good work.
Roy is a brilliant historian and researcher and fascinating to listen to. It could be there are people alive today like Billy Smith who know where Jesse is buried but they won't say where because they don't want to attract ghoulish grave diggers. I mean they even tried to take Elvis that's why he's buried at Graceland. It gives you hope that he might be found knowing he wasn't buried in a shoe box. If that had been in a shoe box then all chances of finding him would go out the window. I think most fans who care about these things would want Jesse buried at Graceland with his brother and parents. Maybe Lisa might be interested in making this happen. Maybe Jesse is already there in an unmarked grave? Who knows? There are those who think it's a bit of a ghoulish subject but I think there would be a sense of closure if we knew where he was buried and if the estate buried him at Graceland that would give peace of mind to a lot of fans who care about these things. As is it's a bit unsettlng to think of Elvis brother not being cared about.
I deal with this issue all the time. I have been doing genology on my family since 1992. My grandmother died when my mom was 3. Momma could remember how to get to the cemetery but couldn't exactly remember where my grandmother was buried. This is an old church cemetery and a majority of my family that are buried there are unmarked. There is just a rock marking the spot. People just didn't have the finances to buy markers. They didn't buy those plots I had an aunt who stayed in the community all her life and was well known. She would go to that church so when my family passed over the years they were buried there. The graveyard behind my house belongs to the community church. If you don't have money to bury a loved one and someone who is an old timer here will give up their family spaces for someone in need. The lady y'all are speaking of who is buried there, is probably part of an older generation who had the plots to begin with. Someone whose family was part of that community and local church from way back when. God bless
This was very interesting and I doubt if we will ever know exactly where abouts Jessie is buried and that is ok. Or at least it is for me. We have a general idea and you know, some things are better left alone as it is obvious that the family/friends didn't want him found by the public. I just wish he was with Elvis, Gladys and Vernon and granny out at Graceland or where ever they are. At least we know that he was buried in a wooden coffin and not a shoe box like was once said. I do believe everything Roy said as I don't think he has anything to gain by not telling the truth. So he saw the document that said that Jessie was deceased and where he was buried.
WOW Billy 😊 Enjoyed video today thanks for sharing! I know like others in this comment area, have read Nancy Rooks book, there's a chapter talking about when Gladys and Elvis' body's were brought from Forrest Hill cemetery, and Vernon went several times too Tupelo cemetery too have Jessie's body moved too Graceland too, but with no success, he couldn't find where he was buried or didn't remember? It could be Vernon saw how much it would cost, knowing exactly where Jessie was(I agree with another person's comment, Virginia Presley's grave marker could be where Jessie is burried (V from name could stand for Vernon, and then the Presley name,) Elvis always used fake names to throw people off his trail, just a thought. You know Vernon was worried always about money, he could have chose not too move Jessie, because of the expense, and know one would be the wiser. Moving Gladys, and Elvis was one thing, and Forrest Hill cemetery was not that far away from Graceland, but moving Jessie from Tupelo too Memphis, would mean more red tape, and funds, and he knew Graceland at the time was hurting for funds, so he chose to leave Jessie where he was, knowing no one already knew the truth where he was burried, and he was safe. The other thing I wish you would have asked Roy, when they saw Baby Jessie laying after he was stillborn if he was a identical twin too Elvis? And why would they say Jessie was burried in a shoe box, when he was burried in a wood casket, for all those years, doesn't make since? Hopefully one day the answers will come, thanks 😊 for sharing, smiles 😁 Bonnie
The man your speaking to is right. I myself being from Tennessee, some older gave yards are the same way. If there's no headstones you may wonna give up lookin for it because there was no maps or plot makers. So the old boy isn't lying to ya.
Jessie is in heaven, with Jesus 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😎 Elvis & Jessie in Heaven, with Robert Conrad playing Football 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 great job Spa-guy 10+👍🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
I watched a documentary the other day on youtube from 2005 , it was of Tupelo and his neighbor friends and school teachers. One friend in his class, the gentleman was two years older than E but in his same class due to this boys mother was sick with cancer; anyhow, he talked about him and Elvis putting flowers on Jessie’s grave often. I thought, I wonder if he is still alive and if he remembers where the grave was.
This has always baffled me. As close as Gladys was to Elvis you think that they would go back and visit Jesse's grave over the years. Even going on Memorial Day to deliver flowers. But you can't find any information anywhere on where Jesse is exactly buried. You would think that the family would at least know that information but it's been a mystery all these years.
He it correct as to how family in the past would reserve areas around family... my great grandfather donated 5 acres to make a cemetery and with his let he cemented an area he claimed for his family... it was enough for eight people and it had cement surrounding it, with what use to be a metal gate entrance... the markers were no longer there after 20 years, but, the outline was noticeable and left no doubts... only noticeable marker is a makeshift marker for the hole family make of concrete with the last name on it...
My folks are buried in a Methodist churchyard. They have a cemetery society that helps take care of the graves. I found out I have a plot next to my folks. Might be cremated and my ashes buried there
My boy my boy. This is a tough one ...even for you and Ashley. But I feel like y'all are a step closer to knowing. That might be as far as it goes. 👍🏻😎
I watched this video several times because this has always been my favorite “Elvis History Mystery”. After much thought, I must say I really believe Mr. Roy Turner is right. I believe Jesse Garon Presley is buried there, although not necessarily in the place where the marker is. Elvis would most definitely want to visit his twin brother’s grave and it would seem to me that Vernon would certainly remember where he had Jesse buried. Can’t imagine something that significant would be forgotten by him. The “big three” remaining questions I would love to now see answered is… Who had the marker for Jesse placed there? Why was Jesse never officially moved to Graceland? And finally, Who is Virginia Presley Shoefner? And this mystery continues….
A fan put the marker there and I have done tests and proven that it is Valeria Virginia Presley Shoffner.. She was in the lineage of Noah's family and I filmed with Larry Presley you can find this in his videos on my channel where Larry was a pallbearer at her funeral.. Jesse was not moved according to insiders because they could not find enough remains to move..
Odds are pretty good that errors happen. My uncles had their bronze plate stolen off of their stone. Well when it was recovered, they placed it on a stone that was about 15 plots down from where they originally were. Volunteers were updating the stone locations on the computer. It was never place back to the original location.
I doubt since Jesse was buried in a wood casket, That there would be anything to move to Graceland After 42 years. Could be that was the reason they didn’t try to move the body.
Jessie is in Heaven with Jesus❤️🙏Elvis and his Mom and dad and all the family who have passed❤️✨ I understand and respect if they don’t want to say where Jessie is buried. Thank you for sharing Billy and Roy Turner for sharing with us Elvis fans. God Bless❤️
Great video...one question though that keeps me wondering. If the family plot was in Tupelo, why then was Gladys originally interred in the Memphis cemetary? Would she not have been buried in Tupelo with Jesse? IDK...something does not jive but I'm sure you or Ashley Drew will solve it.
Many years ago when twins were born to a very poor family, one would be given to another family member who could better afford to raise a child. That family would bury an empty casket. This would represent that child being passed on and " theirs " being alive and well. My grandmother told me this many years ago. But I don't think anyone in the Presley family had money to do this. Can you imagine a world with two Elvis Presley's? WOW. Mind blowing. ❤
I am so happy to know that Jesse Garron was buried in a casket and not a shoe box that many people have said. I sure wish that we could hear an interview with the man from the funeral home who showed this man the receipt for the casket. It's sad that noone can find Jessee grave. Thank you so much Spa Guy
I read Elvis tried to look for Jessie but it sounds as though Elvis may have known. Interesting. If warranted, they can scan the ground to look for bodies. I guess Lisa would need to request it if she wanted the body moved.
Yes I'm not sure about that either. I know Elvis went to tupelo just to find his brothers grave and never could. So if this Betty or Becky was friends with Elvis he would've known where it was and had it moved.
I also thought he went to Tupelo to try and find his grave. I wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly though. If Becky Martin and Elvis were dear friends, why would Elvis have to look for the grave? I would think she would have told him where it was.
i have always wondered what happened to Jesse Garon and why he wasn't relocated to Graceland when Elvis and Gladys were moved there. I think Vernon would have moved heaven and earth to get his Son placed there with them. More than likely, Vernon could not locate where Jesse Garon actually is buried in Tupelo and that is why he did not relocate him to Graceland. I feel very sad that Jesse isn't there with them as he most certainly deserves to be there with his family. I hope one day they can ascertain where in fact the little guy is buried so they can move his body to Graceland where it belongs. Thank you again for another great video.
I wonder if Elvis ever spoke to Linda Thompson about his brother, or revealed the location of his grave to her? I can’t imagine they didn’t discuss Jesse at all.
I'm surprised elvis didn't want jesse to be by him & his mom. So sad jesse died as a baby he might of been a super star as well. Thanks for sharing this video very interesting.
Fascinating it is and I appreciate your work .I feel their all reunited in heaven finally finding peace and have no worries of this world anymore. To Disrespect a grave or cemetery grounds is just asking for trouble and just disgusting imo .
Thank You Tom it is growing slowly but surely.. I have found a Virginia Presley but her death dates do not match up with this Virginia Presley.. I show her information in a previous video about this subject and I link those videos at the end of this video..
My family's plot is adjacent to the Presley family plot. My grandmother and other family members are buried there. I remember when we buried her in 1989 representatives of the Presley family had been there and the Presley family plot had been partially excavated looking for Jesse. They never found him. There may have been previous or subsequent attempts to find him but I remember the graves were relatively recently backfilled when I was there and grass was not even growing on them yet.
One more thought. In another comment you mentioned Virginia Presley had a last name in the book that turned out to be a street name. Roy Turner states that they got their information for that book from family members. I was thinking it was possible that Virginia Presley was the informant for the Presley plot information and her name was included as a burial by mistake. She might have written down the burials and then included her name, address and age and whoever compiled the book for printing made the error.
I'll pray there's some hidden gem around the corner to tell the whole story.. did I miss the video on where the actual spot was of the house Elvis was born in? Thanks to All for sharing..SG TCB ⚡🙏👍❄⛄
I remember when I buried my mom I went to investigate where my baby brother was buried?? I discovered his unmark grave with the help of the funeral records and just like Elvis parents my parents were too poor to buy a headstone for him!! I bought a headstone with my mother’s money from her life insurance and wanted to move his coffin to be buried with my parents but was told by the funeral representative that it would be impossible to do that since most likely he like Jesse was buried in a shoe box and there was nothing there to transferred but at least he now has a grave stone!!😢😢
I'm gonna be frank and say I don't like these interview vlogs much, but this one was insanely interesting.. Well done, Spa Guy. What is the last name yall are saying Virginia Presley has? Im not quite hearing it and i wanted to research it a bit myself..
Billy, thank you so much for all you do! I did see a video that said Virginia was Noah's granddaughter. I'm not sure if that's true. Also, I just watched a video with Billy Smith, from last year, talking about where Jesse was buried. He said in 1957 that Gladys and Vernon had begun to really worry about his gravesite with Elvis becoming so famous. He said they knew exactly where Jesse's grave was located. Colonel Parker said he would take care of it. He contacted the Mayor and Governor to make arrangements. In the end, Billy made it sound like Jesse is buried under another name and the records will remain sealed. He did confirm that Jesse was indeed buried in a wooden coffin. Of course, he said if he knew he wouldn't say anyway.
I have watched that and I doubt it very much.. First the location of Jesse would not have even been something that would have been talked about by the time Billy was old enough to remember.. He was 8 years younger than Elvis and has made up some many things and changed what he said today from what he said in the 80's it is hard to know what to believe from him.. If these was contact with government officials I will be able to find it..
I see. If I were to guess I think it would be around the gravesite of Oma. She was already there in 1935. The other 3 graves were dug later. Therefore, to me it wouldn't make sense to bury him 3 or 4 spaces over. Maybe at the time Gladys thought her, Vernon and Elvis would be buried there eventually. Obviously, not knowing yet what his life would become. Just my 2 cents.
I wonder if Mr. Turner could arrange for a volunteer to document the Priceville cemetery? As he is a Tupelo historian, it might be that having the plot locations identified would be valuable to him for his research, not to mention for families who are doing their genealogy research.
@@SpaGuy O.K. thanks. Guess I misunderstood this video. Glad the plot locatir has been done. What a wonderful work for all historians. Will have to re-visit your previous video re the book. Thanks.
Hey Spa Guy! It is my understanding that Vernon could not find the grave when Elvis was interred at Graceland. Perhaps the family knew where the grave was, but just could not find the remains? Interesting!
Well, apparently, Vernon and the family knew exactly where Jesse was because Vernon talked about bringing him to Graceland to Good Housekeeping magazine in January 1978!
Agree, and especially with Lisa Marie also having twins. You either have identical twins because you have a tendency for your eggs to "split" into two, or you have fraternal twins because you have a tendency for produce "two" separate eggs. Either way, I believe this is hereditary. Lisa's twins are not identical, therefore she had two separate eggs -- betting that was the case with Gladys as well...but just my guess.
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is the most effective grave location and cemetery mapping tool on the market. using one of our systems enables the user to penetrate tens-of-feet beneath the soil, identify soil disturbances, and locate buried objects. This is thanks to a dual combination of our signature triple-frequency antenna's unrivaled signal projection and GPR's natural ability to detect objects of all material compositions. When locating graves, GPR can assist with the following: Buried bones Wooden coffins Historical/ceremonial burial items Voids in soil where bodies are/were buried Soil disturbances where gravesite was originally dug
