He knew what his fans wanted, and it was his way of showing how much he loved his fans in return. He often mentioned that they were the reason of his succes , and He always felt like he owed it to his fans..He gave, and gave...and gave....Until the bitter end. He was a kind-hearted soul,
The most-beloved human being to ever walk the planet Earth. Each & every one of those women he kissed will talk about that moment until the day they die. THE END
This is how Elvis was with his fans ,whether by a kiss ,scarf piece of jewelry a handshake ,never refused to sign a autograph he was a very humble person and treated everybody with respect and a great humanitarian, never will be a man like Elvis ,who just gave from his heart and soul ❤️
I saw him twice. If I could have gotten to him, I would have kissed him without a blink of an eye. My boyfriend at the time would have laughed his head off and bragged to all his friends.
His fans came up to the front of the stage ALL THE TIME in the hopes of getting a kiss from him. He loved his fans and they absolutely loved him, so it was not HIM coming into their faces, it was THEM!
Jane H ….. I was 18 when this Live Las Vegas Concert was taking place …. & if I had been at that concert & Elvis had bent down to kiss me, I would have been Extremely Happy. Elvis was a Mega Superstar & world famous … people travelled from all over the world to go to these Las Vegas concerts. It always makes people of my generation smile when we see the reaction of people of your generation. You will notice that Elvis took great pains Not to kiss the young teenage girl who wanted to kiss him. Elvis loved his fans & always said that without them, he would not be standing on that stage. He knew that every woman he kissed, would treasure that kiss forever. He wasn’t conceited …. Quite the opposite, in fact. He just wanted to give something back to his fans, & the men would send their wives or girlfriends up to be kissed by Elvis, & I bet they bragged plenty to their work colleagues afterwards. It was no big deal. The 1960s & 70s were the Hippy era, when the western world slogan was Make Love, Not War. People just wanted to have some innocent fun.
I so so love this have seen it so many times never ever gets old I would be JUMPING to try and get that kiss....... but me too about hearing smacking kissing with people i dont like it but Elvis's Kissing I can listen to all day long ty for the reaction
Yes, this really happened. The concert was on Feb. 10th or 12th, 1970 in Las Vegas. It was the only time that he did this and it was not scripted. He just did it and his band went with it.
I can't believe I was too chicken to go up at one of his concerts I attended to get my birthday kiss. In my defense, I was 11 and shy. It would have been a kiss on the cheek like he gave all the little girls that git birthday kisses. A lot different than the grown women got for sure. 🤣 The concert was my birthday present and the second time I got to see him in concert in 1972.
I remember where I was when they announced he died. I was almost 11 & was watching the Brady Bunch. They cut in with breaking news & they didn't do that for just anything back then. It's weird when a living legend dies in your lifetime. One minute they're there, the next minute they're gone, and the world is forever changed. But at least you knew what it was like to live in the same time as they did.
I loathed when he did this. Stay up there and sing the song. It’s a beautiful ballad done well on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1956. Why Elvis fans want to think of Elvis this way is a mystery to me. Yeah, perpetuate that caricature to the younger generation.
@@samhugh4965 I bet you're a bundle of laughs at parties and social gatherings/ There are hundreds of other Elvis videos where he does sing but this was just for fun, though, obviously, not your idea of fun:)
@@samhugh4965 Fair enough, Sam but, as you know, those times were very different to now so any younger person being brought up in today's world and society, in certain Countries, would, presumably, find it inappropriate, though I suspect that you are not British because, irrespective of age, most Brits would just laugh at "one-off" performances like this and understand that this is not a typical performance by Elvis. South East London...
Notice he held onto the chain the girl gave him in the beginning. Elvis didn't throw out gifts his fans gave him. I hate smacking sounds too but if Elvis tried to kiss me I'd faint or just jump on him lol
Here are some of Elvis' best tracks at least in my opinion. Check them out when you get the chance. It don't matter if you do a reaction to them or not but these definitely should bee seen at least. I was wild about Elvis, saw him in-person 15 times, he was wonderful, gorgeous, and surreal. BUT ... I absolutely do not like all the kissing ... first of all, each of those women were sharing saliva from all the previous women he kissed, which is gross in every way ... plus Elvis was risking his health by kissing even one strange woman on the mouth, even more so with multiples. Back then, I suppose no one gave it much thought but NOW ... NO WAY. I still love Elvis after all these years but what he's doing here does make me uncomfortable and yeah, I am grossed out by smacking/kissing sounds.
I absolutely loathed this. This is why Elvis is viewed as a caricature by younger generations. Other than In the Ghetto and Bridge Over Troubled Water, I do not like his Vegas stuff. Why don’t his fans request when Elvis does this in 1956 on The Ed Sullivan Show. WHY??? Don’t you older fans see her reaction? Good gawd.
