This might be right at the top of all his renditions of this great song. Relaxed, bluesy, and a cool hint of the Scotty guitar sound. Quite remarkable for a rehearsal.
My Baby Left Me and That's All Right Mama were both written and originally recorded by Arthur Crudup. They're basically the same songs (except for the lyrics).
and he never got a dollar for it.! get that he signed rights over for it when he recorded it originally but there was surely enough money made to give him something the guy was as poor as they come. I don't really blame Elvis I blame Tom Parker the only manager in history to get 50% from his client fucking shyster
@@Sivlelvis Elvis brought ALL of these artists music out for EVERYBODY to admire and enjoy, because of his AWESOME and DIVERSE tastes, that's as BIG of payment as you can hope for, THANK YOU, Elvis, for introducing me to ALL of this incredible music AND the original artists!!!!!!!!
@@elvicare35 yeah well you can’t eat thanks and he didn’t owe you anything he owed money to the guy who wrote it should of been paid instead of dying in poverty. But this is more Tom Parker then Elvis I’m sure Elvis was to generous to have purposely did that.
Elvis obviously loved Black music, and because of his love of Black music, Elvis unintentionally (but officially) brought Black music into the mainstream. NB: At no point did Elvis ever claim that (rock n' roll) music was his very own invention! At the end of the day, I personally believe that it is grossly unfair to (ultimately) blame Elvis for the 'politics" associated with that particular era in time. In other words (and as a white man), If I suddenly sang a Bob Marley song, would that make me a bad man... or alternatively, would that make me a good man?
Thank you thank you thank you so much Bruce for sharing you are so kind please send more more more we love them I love them I'm addicted to Elvis Presley God bless you

Good evening sir KING ELVIS I like all and every song of yours for sure. As for this song -My baby left me. I can hear very amusingly even joyfully because I have no baby female now. I hope sooner or later I will be able to date a female that I love and then I will say to my baby Never leave me dear becaues I love you so. I am a single Korean man-the nation of Korean Wave.
Talented, but reading about him he had some mental health issues and you wonder if what they said was true about him and young girls? The Memphis Mafia kept his drug addiction a secret and protected him, but just how dark was his troubled side.
He did date young girls, but that was when he was in his late teens or early twenties. And it was very common back then, so we can’t judge him. Elvis did have a bad drug dependency that was kept hidden from the public. It was a prescription drug addiction, and the pills he took were all given to him by his doctor. Elvis didn’t have any mental issues that were proven. He might’ve had depression though, and he had insomnia. I’d say his only issue was that he was much too trusting of people and he had insomnia, which affected his relationships. When his wife or girlfriend wasn’t able to tour with him, he’d have another woman take her place for that night just so he could have someone with him because he was afraid to be alone. Most of the things written about Elvis is false, so you should not believe everything you read/hear. After all, it’s been proven that fake news spreads 6 times faster than the truth!
Well when it comes to the younger girls thing I struggle accepting that but I've brought it up to family members who are much older than I and they say that it wasnt that out of the blue tho it's not like everyone was doing it. As long as it was to the knowledge of parents and was clean then all was fine for the most part. You have to at least give Elvis credit there with courting Priscilla and having her and his parents involved or else that would really make things bad. He even married her when she turned 21 so all in all tho I find it weird he did seem to care and genuinely love her rather than just try and use her for sex. Take that as you will. After his mid 20's and his later girlfriends were all in their 20s so it seemed to just be a late teen early 20 thing for Elvis since you were still kinda considered a kid at that age. The drugs are a completely different issue tho. When something fixes your problems seemingly it is very easy to get hooked and of course you'll become very dependent on them, especially with Elvis' issues. He got caught and the ones who said something got yelled at or kicked out. I think he was a good man who had many problems. Certainly not a perfect man by any stretch but I don't think he was a bad man at all
Lester Franklin Melrose ripped off Arthur Crudupt after signing him to RCA. But Elvis got the blame for steeling black music and getting rich white the originators got nothing. It was not Elvis's fault but he could have at least given Arthur a few bucks for contributing to his world wide success.
oops jackie wilson dances like elvis or was it the other way around michael jackson got nothing from bee gees elvis got commercialized because he was white no black artist imitated white ones but vice versa elvis shook his leg and got rich and famous never saw him dance and to whites he was a king but couldn't sit on a stool and hold an audience just hype and you know it.showmanship doesn't make a vocalist al green mj sam cooke etc could sang
Check out the '68 comeback special. It's Elvis sitting and playing guitar, and he has the audience totally captivated. He also sat and sang in '69 and '70, so your theory is debunked. Yeah, MJ did get inspiration from the Bee Gees; he himself said it. And really, when was the last time MJ ever just "sat on a stool and sang"? I love him, but he needed an army of backup dancers, explosions and crotch grabbing to hold an audience. And if you think Elvis couldn't sing, then you're clearly either deaf or your racism is making you hilariously biased. www.creativeloafing.com/music/article/13069587/why-i-stopped-hating-elvis-presley Read this article.
Floyd Stevens Umm he did cover songs, like a lot of artists. Stop making it an issue of race, bottom line is he made damn near every song he covered a lot better. Also, just because you seem very confused, Jackie Wilson imitated him! He even said Elvis was a friend and inspiration.
"made millions only because he was white." Haha, he made millions because he was a damn good singer, musician, showman and he had charisma like no other. His good looks probably helped, too. Some of the songs he covered were by black artists, but a lot of them were by white artists too. He and Jackie Wilson were good friends, and he himself (Jackie) even said, "A lot of people have accused Elvis of stealing the black man's music, when in fact, almost every black solo entertainer copied his stage mannerisms from Elvis." Michael Jackson was heavily inspired by Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire and the Bee Gees, who were white, and no one bats an eye. But when a white guy finds inspiration in a black guy? Holy hell, how dare he!
