I have no doubt about the Baz Luhrmann Elvis Concert Film. It will be released, but Baz does not things in a hurry. It will only be released when he is happy with the end result. Like Elvis sang : " It's A Matter Of Time " ;-)

Thanks Karen for your extensive comment. Personally I think EPE should make a seperate ETA week (somewhere in June or so). This would mean that the ELVIS fans will not be bothered by the ETA competitions during Elvis Week. I once talked to a person high up in the British Elvis World. That person told me that while Joel and Jack Soden were watching a British Elvis Disco Party, Joel said to Jack: "Why can't we do this!?" It goes to show that EPE hasn't got a clue of how different American fans are, compared to the rest of the world. Regards, Emiel

​@@ElvisPressunfortunately not many Elvis fans are bothered by all the ETA events during Elvis Week. In the groups I belong to they mostly have a very positive view of it, and like the ETAs. I can't stand them. This was very evident when Trevor had a petition for EPE to keep them out of Elvis Week - just that one week out of the whole year - and he suffered through a terrible backlash against him. People were outraged, and Dean Z had FB take down Trevor's public group page, which had over 100,000 followers! I sent that petition to several groups, and they all said, "What's wrong with ETAs? They keep his legacy alive!" What a stupid and misguided statement! So we can forget about that changing anytime at all. I think it's disgusting to even pretend that any of those pathetic phonies come close to Elvis' talent. Those wigs! That heavy makeup! They make Elvis look like a clown.

@@katgirlblue Absolutely in agreement with you. They're caricatures of Elvis and not very good ones at that. Every Elvis video reactor on You Tube have stated that before listening to Elvis, they thought of him the same way & were very surprised when they started reacting to his videos to discover what a great talent he was. I refuse to listen to any of the 'ETAs' (a fancy name for Elvis impersonators;) they're all cringy & make a mockery of Elvis irrespective of whether or not that's their intent. Why bother with them when there's so much Elvis content available now? TPTB could try making an effort to incorporate the real Elvis Presley's content in any number of ways; they're just being lazy using the ETA's.

@@mrchips4489 that's the thing - it's a cheap way of bringing in crowds during Elvis Week - people who just don't know any better. They think they're "keeping his legacy alive" and think it's all in fun. As you said, even if it's not their intent, those impersonators are dragging Elvis down to their level, and his true and amazing talent gets lost in all those imitations. I hate to call them ETAs, because I don't think what they do is a tribute at all. They're nothing but Impersonators, with bad wigs and awful makeup. Now every Elvis Week starts with FOUR days of those stupid events.

Yeah, I found it time to give some credits to SONY, because a lot of people take it for granted that they release a box set for us each year. I am always happy with the sets (...like both ' Nashville ' boxes a few years ago...). There are no new songs in the archives, but I am happy how the songs are presented and mixed nowadays. When Priscilla sells Elvis to Jason as a two-dimensional facade, he sees through it quickly enough. Jason himself indicates that he has been fascinated by Elvis all his life. Make no mistake, Jason has shown with The Last Dance that he is a director of a high level. I think we might be surprised with his documentary. I won't pass judgment until I've seen it.

@@ElvisPress I'm glad to know that this is being produced by a very accomplished director, but I'm also very disappointed to see that once again Priscilla is involved in this project also. I'm not saying this just to bash her, but I don't think it's right that the retelling of Elvis' story and analysis of his character is always influenced by the same person. They always take counsel from her, but it's only her perception of events, how she saw things, how she chooses to describe Elvis, her memory, which may or may not be accurate. No one person should have the authority on Elvis' history. Billy Smith is getting up in age but luckily he's still around, and they have a wealth of information in him, a direct family member that remembers Elvis as a child and right trough his last day, and yet nobody ever go to him to seek advise, opinions, or consult with him when creating a project that tries to understand the man behind the legend. What a wasted opportunity to only go to the ex-wife for input., not to mention a huge insult to Elvis' legacy.

So true they are wasting good knowledge from the Smith family especially Billy.

Billy Smith I believe would give true facts. He loved Elvis. Not everyone else did.

@@helgeevensen856 Mac Davis used "Scott" Davis for songwriting purposes back in the day. Scott was the name of Mac's son. According to Google, Mac didn't want to get his name mixed up with songwriter Mack David.

Revamped or not, the worst song on it is 'Three Corn Patches'. It just sounds like Elvis is going through the motions - not that it's a good song anyway.

@@joeblack8915 I agree wholeheartedly Joe. I mean there are 4 songs omitted from the STAX recordings: Girl of Mine, Mr. Songman, Thinking About You, & Love Song of the Year. Why couldn't they have omitted Three Corn Patches and used one of those 4 missing songs? The thing that puzzles me the most is that the song is written by Leiber & Stoller! Elvis's version sound tame and misses the "Oomph!" (...if you know what I am trying to say). I just listened to the version of T-bone Walker (who recorded it at the same time as Elvis did - September 1973 - and I don't say it very often..., but it is way better than Elvis's version (the band & backing are GREAT!). Making these videos and reading all the comments is also a learning experience for me! Since yesterday I know that Frances Zambon is the birthname of Mark James! Furthermore I learned that Mac Davis used the pseudonym "Scott Davis" for songwriting purposes (borrowing from the given name of his son) to avoid confusion with renowned songwriter Mack David. He did this for a short time! So initially I thought there were 3 mistakes on the misprint of the label, but in fact it is only just one! WORDS was written by The Bee Gees (Brothers Gibb). However there is another song with the title WORDS! That one is sung by The Monkees and is (indeed) written by Bobby Hart& Tommy Boyce. Now about your prize..., You will get the eternal fame! It's either BBC intro music or design that is used. It's clips and sound bits that are put on RU-vid for free use, so I have not just picked it from somewhere else. There are many such clips put on RU-vid, so the work is to pick the right one that fits the look/design you're going for. Then put all the pieces together from the Elvis part, text and sound bits and make the blend look smooth. Also many news intro do look alike around the world, since they use the same template more or less. Shoe me a news intro that for example don't use a picture of the earth at some point. 😉

Hi Paul A. Clarkson, Video editing programmes come with a number of templates that one can use. I was fortunate that my graphic designer Jesper Kragh from Denmark made the intro AND the outro for me. I just saw that Jesper has already replied to you --> see the reaction of Koleskab. (because that is Jesper... ;-) .
