Elvis was one of a kind. No other like him. Artists like to be serious with their performances and act perfect. Elvis was what you saw is what you got. No choreography, no gimmicks, no rules. The way he interacted with his band mates, backup singers, his fans and his audience is legendary and so unique. His sense of humor and sex appeal to along with his voice and charisma was truly the whole package for an entertainer. That's why he's still the king.👑
Elvis used to joke around with everybody - whether he was on stage or not. There are clips of him in the studio in which he's trying to get smiles out of the musicians playing with him.
I just found your channel on UT afew days ago and certainly enjoy it. Love your reactions to E P. I grew up with his music and still enjoy it as much now as I did way back than! I was a young teenager when he had his first hit song! That was a minute ago!! Love your channel and keep up the good work you are doing, sir. God bless
Elvis never had bad acting in a Movie ........ As every movie he is the star and every song was a hit In my heart anyway ...... And I thank goodness I was around to see him live, Well hey.......... Then I must have been blessed to {Not as much ........ But blessed}
And to think He was so nervous he almost didn't do the show!!! I remember watching 👀👀this show and it was so awesome!!! The whole show was just pure gold!!!!😊
I remember watching the Comeback Special in December of 1968 --almost 51 years ago. His special had competition from a Brigette Bardot special. But he pulled in most of the viewers. A lot of footage such as what you ran weren't in the special. He did perform those songs, but not those scenes. Thankfully, with RU-vid we can see what wasn't capable of being seen decades ago.Elvis had a wonderful sense of humor. His laugh was infectious. He used a lot of self-deprecating humor such as the video demonstrated. He was always known for his lop-sided grin with the lip curl. So he exaggerated that facial expression and said "I did 29 pictures with that."
@@timcarr6401 oh, okay. Thank you for the correction. I only recalled Ann Margret's because I liked her and always wished they would marry! And those are the two on the front of TV Guide... I didn't recall the third one!
Elvis Presley was funny a had a great scence of humor ,,,you could feel the energy this man had a the joy he loved in singing live a making people Happy happy happy.
Thank you, you have him down perfect. Elvis said "I'm just a singer" he is just a humble man. I say IS because he is still, after 50 years a massive part of my life. I finally travelled from the UK last year to visit Graceland and Tupelo. Wow wow wow 💞
He was always REAL! He had if all. Humor, voice, sex appeal, down to earth and always humble. No one else will ever compare to him! NO ONE! I wasn’t even 2 when he passed, but grew up with him engraved into my heart and soul. So much so that walking through the doors of Graceland I could FEEL him there. His spirit lives on in that place. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Not even ah concerts of some of my favorite artists. That connection wasn’t nearly as present as it was waking the same floors as he did. I’ve only been more moved by Jesus. No, Elvis is not a God, there is only one God and one King of Kings(Jesus). So the King of Rock-n-Roll is up there entertaining the King of Kings and loving it. Elvis’ favorite music WAS gospel. So, I know he’s singing his heart out for all who love him in Heaven. May God bless you, and may God bless all of your subscribers. ❤️
The Whole Package...Spot On! We love Elvis because we don’t play to second best... we have been visually, musically and charismatically seduced by the best there was and is! Love to listen to your comments Jamel. You make me smile!
Love your shoulder action! Yes, Elvis was funny! He never took himself too seriously! But, he sure took his music seriously! He loved what he did! You are right: he was the greatest entertainer! Not only was he not "cocky,"but he was the humblest of human beings- onstage & off! Thanks for your reaction!(btw: Elvis may have been tough but ,he was never"evil" -- some might say that he was a "Teddy Bear" which is another vintage song! You may want to check it out! it's a lot of fun too! Thanks again!
Love to see younger people realize Elvis s pure God given talent, his humour, charisma, and a hell of a human being. Your absolutely correct. " The Total Package". Thank you
The Comeback Special is Elvis at the height of his power. He is so secure in his voice and movements and has the audience in the palm of his hand here. Plus he looks fantastic in the leather outfit
Lovely...The king had the full package...looks , chrisma , voice , Talent , humble , sense of humor stylish and cool...no one ever had or will ever have that..
I love to watch ur actions to Elvis doing something I've seen many times, but it's a true joy watching someone who just seen Elvis doing it for ur 1st time! I get enjoyment watching u!! Thanks
He was so happy at this time. He had not been married long. His baby had just been born not long before. He was getting back to singing and doing live appearances and getting away from the movies that he had started hating. He was in incredible shape and just on top of the world and so so so happy. I mean really think about this... Priscilla met him in 1959 and had lived with him since 1963. She was in the audience and it was the first time she had watched him perform live. That’s how long he was away from live appearances. So like I have said many times here, he was so happy.
Every performer should watch Elvis' performances to learn Swag. This dude dripped charisma 👏👏👏 and he was such a great human , he didnt see himself above or better than anybody

No matter what stage he appeared on & what style of music he sang, Elvis ALWAYS knew how to “deliver” as he knew what the fans want & how to give them what they wanted 👏👏👏👏
I just read this and felt to post it here. Hope you read it Jamel! @JamelakaJamal "Just before Christmas of 1964, Elvis asked me to come with him and Marty for a ride across town. We drove to a small home in a working-class neigh-borhood in Midtown. This was the home of Gary Pepper, one of Elvis's earli-est fans, who had become his first fan-club president. When Elvis stepped off the train in Memphis after returning from Germany, the first person to greet him was Gary. Gary suffered from cerebral palsy, and had a hard time communicating and getting around without a wheelchair. But he was a very bright guy, and for all the special care he required, in some ways he was taking care of his not-very-well-off family. Marty had let Elvis know that Gary needed a new wheelchair, and this trip was made to deliver the chair as a Christmas present. We knocked on the front door but got no answer. Elvis peeked through a window, and then quickly walked into the home. The scene that greeted us when we stepped in behind Elvis was, to my eyes, nightmarish. Gary was crawling across the floor of the small living room. His father wasn't around, but his mother was, and she seemed to be completely out of it-in a trancelike state. Elvis immediately went right for Gary, got his arms around him, and helped get him up and comfortable. Gary was terribly embarrassed to be seen this way, but Elvis talked to him quietly and let him know it was OK-he was there to help him in any way he could. Once we had the new chair inside, Elvis lifted Gary into it and made sure it was adjusted correctly. I remember feeling weak. This scene was so awful, and I felt I wouldn't have known how to go about helping this poor disabled young man. But Elvis didn't hesitate to put his hands on him and comfort him. To him, this was simply a friend who needed his help. Elvis was a Hollywood star and a rock-and-roll legend, but nothing seemed more important to him right then than lifting Gary Pepper into a new wheelchair."..( Jerry Schilling, Me and a Guy Named Elvis.)

This is one outtake from Elvis' 1968 special. It was "Singer Presents...Elvis"; filmed in June 1968 - broadcast in December 1968. Get the full box set: "Elvis: The '68 Comeback Special" Deluxe Edition; it's 3 discs loaded with extras!
Great you picked up on the sense of humor thing as often times, when I had asked Elvis' friends or bodyguards, etc., if you could pick one thing about Elvis that most people don't know, I received two (2) answers back, over and over. As most said how generous he was, but that people probably would never know how much so, but since so many people were aware of his giving things away they said the top 2 would be: (1) How smart Elvis, actually was and (2) how funny and what an awesome sense of humor he had.
They were filming a segment for the medley in the tv show. If you watch the whole show you will see where this fits in to the tv special. They only used the last part of trouble and the guitar man part as he walks away. Nice reaction thanks!
I have been an Elvis and Freddie fan all my life and I love the reactions you do. You have an empathy for whoever you are reviewing and a wonderful sense of humor too. I think you are so superior to anyone else doing reactions! Keep up the good work!
