Elvis certainly was a one off. I do think he was given to us as a gift. He had so much talent and sadly will see his kind again. I completely agree with you about his movies, not all in certain peoples eyes were good but to me they were brill. I love the soundtracks and ok Elvis got tired of making these movies but for me they help keep alive what Elvis created. As far as I'm concerned he started it all with his music, he broke the mould and made that music popular. He brought people together no matter of skin colour.
I think it was one of his girlfriend's who called Elvis 'a perfect specimen' of a human being and it's the perfect description for him. I think my husband was the most handsome man I ever saw and very sweet loving and giving. I married my husband and we had many happy years together till his death. Of cancer in 2001. I will just tell you this. Bill was so handsome that women would walk by us and turn to watch him walk by. I was at a large class reunion one time with Bill. I got up to go to the restroom and some of the girls I knew stopped me. Said who is that good looking guy your sitting by over there? I said that’s my husband. They told me girl you did good.
