Nice pickups, you are correct when I plan an Elvis budget I usually go over my budget. My wife is supportive of my addiction so I'm glad. I love the glossy covers.
Yeah, I'm rather partial to a laminate cover, and yes, I wouldn't be anywhere without my wife behind me, I wouldn't be doing this channel if she hadn't suggested it! 🙂
I'm going through a stage of collecting the original first press vinyl. My suggestion with the one that has a lot of crackle and pop is to give it one or two really good cleans and that might make it a lot quieter, good luck. Luv the show.
I bought 'Elvis for the Asking' in the 90's. The french 'Happened at the World's Fair' was sold originally with the english title, the french wording is on this recent LP only. Many ways to re market old LP's and songs to tempt fans.
cool Elvis collection my friend are out to the records shops it is hard see cool Elvis music have to buys it Sean, some time out buys some records of Elvis come home look through your Elvis collection see things you got before but all good fun my friend keep up cool video take care brother
Yeah, was a bit annoying. I should have been more suspicious of the plastic cover and hype sticker not being there. Don't understand why anyone would buy such a limited edition and then treat it like garbage
Another great video, thanks for the shout out re the Aussie double LP set which I did show on my channel when I inherited it with others when a friend died.. I love seeing what people buy at record fairs and local shops, more so than the reviews of the FTD and MRS new releases, all of which have their place, and I have indulged myself occasionally, but I find it much more exciting to find alternative versions of original LPs from other countries, with stunning covers. If I ever found those alternate versions of the Loving You LP I would snap them up at any price! Not to mention gatefolds, can't resist those. I was amused by your comment about using your wife's credit card when you ran out of money... you don't have a credit card yourself ? I would probably be far better off financially if I didn't have one, but I wouldn't have all the goodies I now have if I didn't have a credit card...
The elvis australian album was the c'mon everybody lp with songs mixed in from previously released camden albums. Australia never had a c'mon everybody lp release like u.s. and uk. hope this helps. It was originally released in april 1972 and was specially released for tv adverts in 1972
Hi Sean some great finds. "Loving You" on the RCA International Label from the 1980's was the last Vinyl re-release of this Album in Germany. The cool thing is, the Songs are in glorious MONO Sound (all of germany re-pressings of the 60's and 70's have Electronically Reprocessed Stereo Sound). "Essential Elvis 2 and 3" and "For The Asking" are pretty rare, Congratulations! The "ELVIS" australian RCA SP-106-G was first released in 1972 and re-pressed in 1975 (a New Zealand Version was also produced). "Elvis Golden Records Volume 2" Sony Legacy has a terrible Vinyl Condition. I opened my still sealed copy and it has a lot of visual scratches. The positive side, Sony uses the original analogue Master and not the digitally remastered Sound. Well, as you know i'm not a fan of the "grey market" Public Domain Vinyl or CD Editions. I stop collecting them many years ago but i still collect worldwide RCA Vinyls (45rpm, 33rpm and i have a few 78rpm) Thanks for showing your new Vinyls and a big hand to your wife😉
LOL. Sean, with all due respect, the best advice I can give you is...make more room, lol. That's a nice batch you picked up! What made me laugh is that "limitations" you placed on your collecting are some all the same limitations I placed on myself. 2 good examples of limits I gave up on. ME: "I'm not going to buy any Wax Time or DOL releases" became "well, I'll just buy this one color vinyl I like" and that became "There all so inexpensive and a lot of the covers are kind of cool, I can get all of them for what I'd pay for a mint (insert any expensive rarity here). " I also started out not buying overseas pressings (I'm in the US) unless the cover was substantially different, that one didn't last long either. I figure that by settling for UK Mono of Speedway I've got plenty to spend on other releases, lol.
Thanks Thomas, it's great to know someone has been through exactly the same thought processes, although it does feel a bit like a mutual self-help group 🤣
Love both Loving you ones!!Sweet purchases. The RSD is really nice too!!All in all some nice editions, I would say. Maybe Elvis Now a lesser one. Looking forward to your upload later today. Have a great Sunday, mine is just starting😊.
Hard with Australian releases as they were also released in New Zealand where I'm from , same record etc but with the NZ bottom of back cover down the right corner. Keep up the great work ,love your channel
