Very well crafted video, Jennifer. Some of my favorite memories include goofing off in Ms. Bayless' math classes. Thanks for being a part of them! Hope you're doing well. Those of us in the class of '96 weren't the only ones who had it tough when E-West closed.
This was so special, thank you so much for making this. And none of the talk about how magical our high school experience was at West is exaggerated. It truly was a one of a kind environment and we will always remain family. xo Veronica Hymes Class of ‘90 🧡🤎
Thank you, very well done. The Elyria Chronicle Telegram did a front page article on my bride (1986) and I (1981) in 1996. The title was " Weaver's Lament." We had brought our two young daughters at that time to see the school that we had attended. The reporter embellished the story saying we were high school sweethearts. That was NOT true. My bride and I met in 1991.We were so upset with the city I said I would move out of the city ,we did. Some of you may remember a guy at the football games with a big orange megaphone. After every score " give me a W, give me an E, give me an S, give me a T!!! I know you know the rest of that cheer. I still have that huge orange megaphone, with a big brown wolverine paw print on it. It proudly has class of 1981 & 1986 on it. Fight on Elyria West , strive on to victory to show the men and women of orange and brown will fight, fight, fight. Courage and honor you will have, as you take on life's challenges and you will be put to the test, strive on you mighty Wolverines because we were all forged through a crucible in 1996 to be the best. Thank you for a school with no walls, and may God bless you all.
My favorite times were band camp, marching band, first 3 periods my senior year had study hall round up Mr McClean's misfit list to the office. You know who you were baaahaaaa.
