....you need to do a bit of differential math the data to extract knowledge from the basic information - whats interesting is not the changes in speed but the changing acceleration over the power band. it will also make comparing motors possible. the second part of what you want to quantify here lies in the power-trains responsiveness i.e. lags. Pawel Spychalski did a video recently where he put an acceleration to 400 deg/sec on a transmitter switch and used blackbox to measure the time it took an individual setup to do the acceleration. this ought to complete the picture and makes the reality of flying different setups recognizable in the data... ...when talking efficiency it would be helpful to the viewer if you did the division of thrust with the amp draw thereby eliminating the guesswork..... ...(!) only suggestions not a critique - but done right it would be helpful on par with miniquadtestbench in the olden days....there is real meat on these bones and i suspect the more than one phd thesis will be written on the subject.... please do keep the knowledge flowing - it's a fucking pleasure to nerd out this way with you, thanks :-) - and my apologies to Pawel if i butchered spelling his last name

Super interesting. What would be insanely valuable to me is a study of various 6 inch props and lowish KV motors to find the most efficient combo for long range.

Awesome... I've been waiting 4 test results like this. Without data like this, there's no good way to tell the difference between different Motors/prop combinations. @Dronemesh you always go A step above all other fpv RU-vidrs. It's great that you always try to show actual data from different products. You can't learn this information by just watching flight videos. A great pilot can make even the worst product seem amazing. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK & KEEP THESE TYPES OF VIDEOS COMING!.!.! This Guy deserves 10x the amount of subscribers then he has!!! MAKE SURE YOU SUBSCRIBE AND LIKE ETC....

yeah good stats, hopefully a good sample of props and motor combinations will give us a rule of thumb for choosing good combinations.

Racers care about efficiency in the 50 - 95 throttle band. Test the GF 51466 prop but change the motors.. Show the watts at the same thrust numbers. Like three dufferent motors watt usage using the same prop at 1,000 grams, 1,300 grams, and 1,500 grams of thrust. The more efficient the motor the better.

Great comparison, thank you! I would like to see thrust vs. ampdraw in one diagram, which means efficiency. Very interesting is the 2306 vs. 2207. Much different than kabapfpv’s subjective feelings that 2207 and 2208 feel more linear than 2306. Amazing what $12 motors are capable of. Emax quality dormthe samguk price.

Well done 👍. There is more and more discussion on motor & props and their effect on the quads controllability. We are generally looking for a more linear response for better control at lower throttle. Has anyone played with the throttle EXPO and throttle MID parameters in the rate profile to try to match the trust curve and make the stick feel more linear? It could potentially make certain motor / prop combinations more manageable.

I appreciate your work. It is always interesting for us to see a different perspective. But i also see the high amount of time that runs into it (and read the critical comment). What about a joint venture with miniquad testbench: they give you their data and you add your different approach of analyzing and visualization?

Love data, really, but don't know if it's worth so much of your time. Motor response curve is not something many people (want to)think about. I think Kabap would love this though. But it's such a niche corner of the hobby. The outcome of esc tests for example have a greater impact and are more usable for many more pilots imho.

I'm new to the hobby and loving every second of it so far. I'm looking to build a 7" cruiser, maybe the odd flip, mainly focusing on long flight time using the 2207 1700KV variant eventually looking to move to 6s but will be using 4s in the mean time. On 4s are they going to give me enough power or should I be looking at the 2207 1900kv for use with 4s now and 6s in the future?

Hi a have a Mamba Stack and I hit the ground today and now the osd don’t work and the flight controller have a two leds blinking really fast and don’t opend in the Betaflight

Man i wish I could win a radio and receiver I never win anything but I did fly my first build for the first time last week but then n.v I chopped my antenna off so back grounded tell I get a new receiver
