Just an FYI, Tudor is a great watch , Tudor is NOT a Rolex just as Silver is NOT Platinum. They are both a precious metal and have similarities but not the same . I own Rolex , Tudor, Omega, Cartier, AP and Pakek Philippe as far as high end watches and I own Samsung Frontier, Apple, Marathon and Luminox for my everyday watches . I wear a Tudor Blackbay Chrono reverse panda on a leather strap daily and May alternate that with my Tudor Blackbay 41 . Does that mean I should be embarrassed to wear a Tudor ??? What a f@&$ing joke . If you feel ashamed by wearing a Tudor then why buy it ? I buy a watch because I like that watch not because of WHO makes it or anything else . I am sorry but anyone who wants to call out someone for wearing a Watch because it’s not a Rolex , AP, Richard Mille or Patek Philippe has got screws loose . Buy and wear what you like boy what others are wearing and want to show off . Also don’t put people down for having what they can afford , that person put their heart and soul into buying a watch that they wanted and saved for it . Think about that the next time you are wearing your “ Best” watch and someone looks at you wearing your solid Gold Daytona green dial and they are wearing a 2 million dollar Richard Mille. To each his/ her own . Be happy with what you have and don’t belittle others .

You can have a basic watch, like a Tissot on, and if you have cash in your wallet, you're in business my friend. Tudor makes a great watch, and red is a popular color over there.

I own a Black Bay 58 blue. I’m considering upgrading it to a JLC Polaris available at a local grey dealer. Fact of the matter is: their bracelets and clasps are great, their movements have full balance bridges, their hairsprings are made of silicon, and their balances are free-sprung. I believe the rotor is made of tungsten, and Tudor rhodium plate the movements and the hands and indices of their silver accent watches. This watch, to me, is the best watch I can own aside from a 6-digit Submariner. I mean even the bezels and engravings are exquisite. To me it competes with the Polaris, even if the Polaris is a JLC.

Paul, not all that glitters is gold. You shouldn’t rely on wearing a watch or having material possessions for any form of self validation. So why judge yourself in comparison to what other people have or what other people are wearing? A lot of people in this world can’t even afford a Tudor and would be looking at your watch in awe. Plus, you have many others at home.

Archie, no offense , but you need a proper education on what is self esteem and where does it come from. It has nothing to do with what you wear, or what’s on the wrist. If you’re a true watch geek you’ll love every watch except a knock off. I think you need to see a therapist and loose some weight and fix the flaws which are really bothering you(it will cost less than a Patek). By the way Rolex are a massed produced watch. Their marketing is great. Nothing else.

No need to have a dick measuring contest....i collect and wear what i like for me...i know a lot collect to feel that sense of people coveting what they have or some sort of vindication but i can wear my G Shock then my ALS and feel just the same. But really people never notice my ALS unless they are serious watch people. I have more compliments on my rolexes that are not even near the price of the ALS. Hell i think im complimented more on my G Shock even.

You know what. I totally understand where he is coming from. It’s sad but true. But know this. One day that guy with the 5905 is going to walk into a room and see another guy wearing a RM 56-02 with a woman looking like Bella Hadid by his side whose carrying a Himalaya birkin. I got a datejust 41mm and I like it, I got an Air King and I like it, I got a silver OP Rolex 41mm and I like it.. I got a Rolex explorer ll polar or white dial and I like it.. my point is.. No Arch. I've never felt cheap. I will wear my Marlin and get more compliments than my Omega. I would wear my Omega, and get zero compliments, yet more compliments for my Raymond Weil. The things that move me are good health, nature, family, and creating an atmosphere that makes folks comfortable. The Rolexes aren't in the same class as the Patek. Maybe the platinum Day-Date approaches the Patek. I wear my Tudor (that exact watch) most every day. My Patek 5270 has been worn a total of 2 times in 10 years. I would have flexed on him wearing a G-Shock GWM5610-1...Cool that he recognized you, but that Tudor is a solid piece that even Patek owners can appreciate.
