Don’t ever feel destroyed over getting your arse kicked by the NZ All Blacks. Rugby Union is their national game. Their players are the fittest and the best, the most skilful. There isn’t a side in world rugby that hasn’t, at one time or another, been destroyed by them.

However you know The Springboks made up for that Embarrassing game by beating NZL 7 - 35 SA as well as beating them in 2023 Final to win the World Cup. Hence we bury that 57 - 0 Deeeeeeeeeep in the past and drink until we forget. 😅😅😅😅

I'm Scottish we've playing Rugby since the late 19th century and we've never beaten New Zealand in our history and we play each other maybe once every two or three years not including cup competitions

There have been worse defeats, New Zealand held the record for the biggest win, 145-17 against Japan in 1995, until Australia beat Namibia 142 -0 in the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

The score wasn't embarrassing, it was expected, you have the best team in the world who come from a country who lives and breathes rugby against a nation where the majority of citizen's have barely even heard of rugby, it was always going to be a drubbing. I'm Welsh and we love our rugby too, it's also our national sport and it's in our blood, but we've only beaten the All Blacks 3 times in 37 games, they're just incredible rugby players.

Americans always expect to win. Nothing wrong with that, its part of what makes America great however, there has to be room for some realism. School fees need to be paid and experience gained before you take on the All Blacks or Springboks. They have been playing the game for over 100 years in a fierce and extremely hard combative arena. So no embarrassment to come up against a great team like the All Blacks. America has the potential to be a rugby force to be reckoned with, there are fantastic athletes over there. Give it some time, experience and an in-depth knowledge of the finer points of the game and we will have our work cut out competing. Hang in there and don't give up.

When you're watching a highlights reel and one side has 90-95% possession, there aren't going to be a lot of highlights from the other side. The Eagles are a decent team within the 2nd tier, but the only 2nd tier team that teams like the All Blacks have any reason to fear, or even respect, is the Japanese team, who have famously beaten both the Springboks and a couple of 6-nations teams in recent years.

Sounds a lot but when your an average amateur team against the absolutely best pros this is not that bad a performance. And we all know if the USA ever took the game seriously they'd blow us all away

You may have missed it when the US scored their first try, but that wasn't just the US's first try against the All Blacks in that game, but that was the first time the US had EVER scored against them. That's why he was celebrating so much. Honestly the US was playing fine, Rugby's just not as big there as it is here and so they weren't used to going against world class players week in week out

Everyone's copped a whupping off them at some stage, it's less embarrassing than you think. Besides, the USA are not a rugby nation (yet). The best thing an American do to help their national team is support MLR (club rugby) and help it grow in my opinion. It's a young league, it needs help and is capable of producing very entertaining games.

Rugby is like a religion in New Zealand and South Africa, and the All Blacks have an unparalleled history of domination in this sport, going back for well over 100 years. Rugby is still in its relative infancy in the States, but if it keeps on growing in popularity as it is currently doing, you can hope to field teams that can have a huge impact on world rugby in 10 or 20 years, and possibly less. I like the innate American sryle I've seen displayed by American teams at World Cups against lesser opposition than the All Blacks.

It's not really embarrassing considering the All Blacks are the most winning team in the world in regards to team sports. Also rugby has been a part of our culture for over one hundred yrs. It was just a way to promote the sport in your country. I could never understand why countries in lower tiers push to want to play the All Blacks because it does nothing for them.

The second US score should not have been given. The movement to score has to be one movement, and you can't crawl along the ground to get over the line. The referee was feeling sorry for them. This is not a typical match, and I have seen the US play much better. When it is so one-sided it does not showcase the game to its best advantage.

I agree, it isn't embarrassing to lose to one of the top teams in the world, what matters is, the USA team and management learn from this match to better themselves. We all have to start somewhere, with more Rugby 15 matches against top Rugby teams around the world comes experience in high-level game plays, support play, and attacking Rugby. the score flatters the all blacks, but the Eagles would have learned a lot from that. Like how to cheat and get away with it. Jordon was allowed though the Eagles line after a kick- as he should have been, but watch how the ABs always manage to get in the way of such a kick. Clean outs- there's always some one pushing the rules in the ABs. Ritchie McCaw was the master at invisible clean out infringements. Forward passes- harder to spot in short passes 16:32.

The US has a decent 7's team and decent ladies teams but you haven't a great amount of available depth to the 15's squad, they all want to play NFL ? Pro v Amateur ? Countries with "Good" national have good professional leagues. The competitive professional league are a large part of why the England Ladies have been dominating the Ladies game, an awful lot of the rest of the worlds best players play in the English Ladies PWR (Professional Womens Rugby), which helps raise the standard of the league !

I set a under 16 year old team up and the fixtures sec.cocked it up Wakefield Colts and they lost 105 to 5 so you didn't do so bad but 2 of the player's did play for Yorkshire good time's

I know it seems bad but compare the two teams and you start to realise the game. All Blacks have had 1 time they didn't make semis, where as USA is struggling to make it into the world cup.

The Eagles are going to get wiped out by any of the top international teams at this stage of their development. Without rubbing it in the ABs held back a number of their first choice players until the last 20 mins or so.

As a kiwi, it's actually unfair that USA had to play against us, the ABS are a tier 1 team it's like watching a training session for us 😂 However USA did exceptionally well to score a try.

The NFL fans have to understand the Eagles did well in this game, the best team in the world at the time, against a mostly semiprofessional tier 2 team. I NFL term this game was like a game between the N.E Patriots vs the High school state champions.

Nothing embarrassing about that loss. Usa played their hearts out and represented your country with honor. All blacks are consistently the fittest team and can play tier 1 rugby for the full match non stop. Also the boys of usa will forever remember the day they played the greatest rugby franchise in history.
