it looks like theyve been dancing full out for 36 hours straight before performing this and their director told them they can sleep as long as they just do the show one more time no matter how bad it is or how much they mark it
Stopping mid performance the way they did, will for sure gets points taken off. I was in show choir in 2018. You NEVER stop dancing. You pull through the best you can.
Yup! We were taught to keep dancing and if you have the urge to puke or pass out to dance the best you can off stage (still doing the right choreo of course)
Especially if it’s mid song. It doesn’t matter if you have fallen off the risers or got hurt, Just get until the costume change or just get through the song.
I had the exact same thing happen to me last year. We were supposed to turn at the edge of a platform and I turned and twisted my ankle and my foot got caught under and I pulled it out quickly and I continued dancing and after our show ended I was back stage on the ground with a twisted ankle.
I feel if she had broken a bone then it’s a very good reason to get off stage but, some of these comments are beyond rude. As a show choir kid i was told to leave the stage at the end of a song or during a transition in the song if you can and just try as hard as you can to play it off. I broke both my bones 2 months ago on stage and had a completely bent forearm (greenstick fracture) and required me to get a 4 hour long surgery on it. So to the people who would have expected me to just toughen it out are crazy. I don’t blame this girl for getting off the riser but she could’ve done it much more gracefully and at a better time. And if anyone thinks me getting off stage at a nontransition point ruined the show, guess who brought home 4 trophies that night ;)
Everyone should know the rule you can't stop or else you get kicked out just like what happened to the New directions when Marley passed out in the sectionals season 4 in glee 🤠
i have never seen a more bland, non-energetic show choir in my life; no, i’m not referring to the girl who is injured. people making fun of her are beyond disrespectful. i’m talking about how unseasoned and boring the choreography is and how they aren’t even giving any type of energy.
im in a show choir rn and yes that is a big mistake that she and a couple of other kids made too. She, for whatever reason, should have not crawled off stage like that. If an accident like that, like you twist your ankle do your best to dance off stage, and if your on a stage like that whats in the video, then you HAVE to power through it, im sorry thats just what it has to be. Or there is a wardrobe malfunction, when you make turns or any kind of movement try and fix it as best as you can on stage, dont just stop midperformance and try to fix it there, it looks VEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRYYYY unprofessional. Take these tip if you are in show choir, just starting etc. it can help you a lot. :)))
Ok I feel bad for her us show choir kids have to act like nothing happened but she could have twisted something and it's not good considering you still have to dance also. I almost twisted my ankle in one of our show choir competitions because my ankle went between the steps but thankfully I got out not hurt and nobody noticed. It's very embarrassing especially with people watching your every move
sarah beth at a comp a girl fainted during their ballad and no one helped her. She woke up like 10 seconds after and quickly got off the stage but a lot of the time the kids actually don't help. They just keep going.
our choreographer told us the other day when cleaning our partners song (at the end we have a pose where the girls spin into the guys arms and lean back and the guys catch them) for the girls to not be afraid of getting dropped, go full out, and if you do get dropped then play it off lol
That never happened to me at School cause I got that member a Wheel Chair. I even played this song (does anyone know what song this is?) on my Jupiter Bayan Lux & Washboard to make it more "Zydeco".
“embarrassing show choir accident 😂😂” she got hurt. like she couldn’t even walk. and yoy can see even after she fell she tried to get up and she was still doing the dance. she did everything right and doesn’t deserve a whole comment section of people making fun of her.
That girl probably should have stay sitting on the step till the end of the show, not to crawl away, that just put a lot of attention to it, however... omg, they are just kids under a lot of pressure. There is not guide what to do when something like this happen, people do panic. I've witnessed a 8 yo faint and fall down from the stairs during the show and it was like church show, not competition or anything. I myself have suffered from some kind of weird vertigo that only happened on shows and till this day I have no idea what caused it. I had to leave the stage several times on different concerts and the rest I was just covered with cold sweat shaking trying not to faint. We all know how hard it is. So give those kids a break. They did what they thought was best at the moment and just laughing at them, that's just bullying.
this reminds me of when i was in show choir last year and one of my best friends who is a freshman in college now slipped on stage and immediately went into a split and stood up again 😅
Ugh Drama queen I'd keep going because I've tried to get into show choir TWICE and never made it and I wouldnt just leave a performance because of that with all of that hard word
@@Chloe-iu8gt I'm in show choir now if something like this happened to me now I would still keep going if I was physically able to I would keep going still I'm not salty anymore but I still would suck it up and keep going
This is a solid show choir fail video. I could see why people would think this is entertaining. That being said, the video "Show Choir Fail" posted by Albert Regalado is more entertaining by leaps and bounds. If you are reading this, you should immediately drop everything you are doing and watch this video. I guarantee you that it will be worth your time. Regards, Andrew

This is sad. Sad from the fact that this poor girl is obviously in distress and no adult stepped in to help her. In a sporting event the game would have been stopped and coaches and trainers would have been on the scene to help the student out. Here the poor girl had to CRAWL off the stage while the whole audience stared at her. This is taking competition too seriously. The song should have been stopped, the girl aided with dignity, and the group been given the option to start that song again or go back to the beginning of the show. Ridiculous.
1. Rule is DON'T STOP A SONG OR DANCE IF SOMEONE AROUND YOU FALLS. MAKE IT LOOK LIKE ITS PART OF THE SHOW. 2. Its not taking competition too seriously, it's called not being total sissies about everything. 3. Its not ridiculous, it's show biz ALSO EXCUSE THE PERFORMING ARTS KIDS FOR NOT WANTING TO STOP THE SHOW TO HELP ONE GODDAMN PERSON. "oH cOaChEs iN sPoRtiNg eVeNtS wOuLdVe hELpEd hEr" LISTEN HERE. YOU'RE EITHER TOUGH OR YOU'RE NOT. SHOW CHOIR KIDS HAVE TO BE TOUGH AND SUCK IT UP. THAT GIRL WHO CRAWLED OFF THE STAGE WAS PATHETIC. KEEP IT TOGETHER AND....oh what is it athletic coaches say? Oh yeah! BE TOUGH AND RUB SOME DIRT IN IT. Honestly people grow some balls🙄🙄😂
Elise Leek exactly I’m in show choir and if you mess up just suck it up cause the show ain’t stopping for you. I seriously wished they would have practiced more in heels because they must have not practiced enough if that happened. She just sprained her ankle right? All she had to do was come back up and not put too much pressure on the feet. What’s even worst was their energy. My teacher wouldn’t killed us if we performed with that energy. You can get hurt in show choir. Some people think you can’t and it’s easy but you can get hurt. Just suck it up.
Literally just watched a show at a comp the other week and this dude completely dislocated his knee and handled it like a pro, nobody in the group batted an eye.
