Here's a story for part 13: 1992 - Bobby Scott retired from the Navy after 40 years of honorable service. As Bobby and his wife left a Virginia hardware store, she drove the pickup truck while Bobby stood in the bed holding down a piece of plywood. It should be noted that Bobby was a master chief boatswain's mate, so normally he would tie down something like the plywood. When his wife made a sudden stop in traffic, the old sailor and the plywood went airborne, with the master chief crash landing on the pavement. This was a tragic end to what would've been a happy retirement.

The lawyer one is wrong. It's even dumber. He was touring some interns and they were afraid to approach the floor-to-ceiling window. So to prove how strong it was, he took a running start and intentionally jumped and slammed his entire bodyweight against the panel. It...didn't end well for him

The dude who who used a chainsaw to cut open a hand grenade is hands down one the top winners in this series, like how did he think that was going to end 🤦🏻‍♀️

Favorite lawyer joke. Did you know that scientists are considering using lawyers in research instead of rats? They have 3 main reasons. 1. There are now more lawyers than rats. 2. The lab technicians don’t become emotionally attached to the lawyers. And finally 3. There are just some things rats won’t do!

The fact that someone that dumb somehow got ahold of that many RPGs is a little terrifying. I genuinely want to know how he got them either without realizing what they were or without thinking about how dangerous they were.

I heard somewhere that 3 drunk men were going home from a bar, when one of them fell into the hole filled with mud head first. Those two others came back to bar, ordered some drinks, and stayed there for around 45 minutes. Then, they finally reported what happened, and when firefighters got that dude out, he was, sadly, dead.

Having broken a fair number of bungees, I know for a fact that the cord would have broken anyway.

The story of the lawyer falling from his 39th floor office reminds me of a similar story I once saw on a TV show a few years back. In it, a young hotshot lawyer liked to jump against the windows in his office (which was in a skyscraper) to prove how strong they were. One day, looking to impress a new female coworker, he did so again, but this time, the window didn't hold, and he made a very quick exit to the pavement many stories below.

I love this series. I hope it never ends

There is a high chance that I drove past the guys on 80 that morning. I missed hitting 3 or 4 cars stopped in the fast lane with no lights on. I was driving around 80 miles an hour in the fast lane myself. I missed the vehicle’s by 10 feet as you couldn’t see them until they were in your headlights! I didn’t even have enough time to put on my hazards for the other cars behind me! There was even someone walking in the second lane next to the vehicles!

There was a drunk dude a couple weeks ago in the Gold Coast, who drowned in a small Golf course pond after trying to swim across it. Basically finished dinner and went straight out and tried to swim in the murky water. Looks like the most basic pond ever. Even had a water fountain in it

Apparently, until he landed in the water, he was heard over the comms begging and pleading for the teams to locate and save him; he didn't know how to work the GPS. He could only look into thick clouds until he was finally below the overcast... And by that point... all he could see in every direction was just... water. Talk about total despair...

Mom was reading the news paper and found a story about some one who was killed on a moped accident. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and for those of you don't know there's a rather large hill on Central Avenue--for clarity's sake. There were two women on mopeds... after dark... without functional... or tail lights. I don't know if the in front was aware of the one behind, all I know is that when a truck came up and hit the one in back she was pushed into the one in front. I don't know which way they were going so I can't say who died, but there is one thing I do know. Here Albuquerque we're known for three things: Breaking Bad, Balloon Fiesta and bad traffic.
