This video features oscilloscope traces of the waveforms produced by the Arbitrary Waveform Generator (exercise 14). It starts with the ramp, continues to the sine and finishes with a square wave. The auto-increment period/frequency adjust button is used for each. Note how once the period reaches the maximum (i.e., lowest frequency), it snaps back to the minimum (i.e., highest frequency). This circuit uses ab R-2R ladder network for the DA conversion. Typically, this circuit will produce a THD of 0.5% for the sine wave (C weighted).
