There is a trend these days to print manuals with tiny and low contrast print.. The "Lets Get Started" booklet falls into this category. Also in order to prevent having to print a manual in English, you have to look fish your way around 5 other languages. This thing costs a lot of $$ They could give you a simple English Step by Step operational manual. Its early in the morning and I had to pick up a magnifying glass to read.
BE WARNED IF YOU BUY AN EMBER MUG!! I have three ember mugs. The charging coasters are extremely poor design and continually fail due to the metal charging prongs sticking and being susceptible to moisture. My electric toothbrush uses magnetic technology to charge and it’s charging base is completely waterproof and worry free after years of use. Ember needs to pull its head out of its ass and upgrade the charging coasters that are completely obsolete compared to modern charging technology
Most important thing to know is that the Android app is garbage. Sometimes it might work, but, you can expect it not to most of the time. Since you have to use the app to adjust the temperature, that's a pain in the ass. When I bought mine, the app worked fine and I loved it. Eventually they did an update on the app and it's a damn nightmare to try to get it to connect.
If I still have coffee in my mug after 90 minutes and need to recharge it, do I have to empty the mug before putting it on the charging coaster in order for the mug to recharge?
So I'm done with my coffee and want to charge it. Do I have to turn the mug off on the bottom first before docking or do I need to go into the app and turn off Hester?
The mug knows when its empty and will stop heating automatically. You don't need to ever turn it off as it goes to sleep on its own. All you need to do is charge when necessary
I also have a Smart Mug 2 and am not happy with it. The mug is constantly intermittent and then it stops heating. My coffee keeps getting cold anyway. The support team only responds with standard emails and doesn't address my problems at all. Simply a brutally overpriced product that only works moderately.
@@HipIOReviews exactly the answer I was searching for... Thanks for this review helped a bunch, but now I also inspired in getting a desk clock thingy 😂
I got one for Christmas. Total waste of money and actually a dumb idea. I knew the person well enough to ask if they could get refund. Glad they were able to, because this thing would have ended up in my cupboard unused.
I have the Copper Edition 14oz (it was a gift) ... Trust me anyone who says they want one will have second thoughts after buying it. When a coffee mug cost as much as a utility bill then theres something wrongI. If you need an app to control the temperature of your drink then its taking you way too long to drink it. Its Hand wash ONLY (so let that sink in). I doubt the app itself wll be around in the next 10 years ... When the battery dies so does the function of your overpriced mug .... Your better off with a Thermos stainless steel 16oz tumbler with with keeping your drink 7hrs hot and 18hrs cold and its dishwasher safe.
i have 16 of them, 1 for every room in my house so there is always a warm drink ready. havent had second thoughts yet, but might get a second one for each room
