Afande Gitta it's an honour to be a soldier n serve, I believe you may have not got what you want in monetary terms but appreciate that you served n made it out alive, many of our brothers n sisters died in the struggle, it's standard operating procedure in war not only in Ug but world over, i know so many people who are not baganda who too died in that war n their families too have never been rewarded, but as soldier your honour should be that you served n brought that change, its not right for you to always downplay other soldiers efforts, you know very well ranks awarding go through alot of procedures. If i was you i would be glad that your name is part of those that wrote history in this country, no amount of money can pay for the time of those tht participated in that war. Stop being bitter n embrace that you made it out alive. I can imagine all those who had hope n never made it to kampala. Be blessed

President Museveni has been trying to fix many problems, but the people he entrusts with implementation of solutions are NOT AS PATRIOTIC as he expects them to be. Museveni resolved many people's problems since 1980...before he had full executive power...and he still tries...but the people around him are the problem.

I think this was a planned war, imagine fighting near a cattle corridor of ngoma, cattle from ngoma acted as food for the fighters coupled with food from luwero and kiboga otherwise the war could have been a futile

Actually the Baganda made a very big contribution in this war, but Museveni was wise, starting a war against obote from the baganda who hated obote so much, coz its alleged that he killed Mutesa, so museveni plan was the most appropriate at that time

Actually all kingdoms got what was worth, museveni is a person of siyasa, remember initially its was lule all this was siyasa, the war was for museveni. Even those other guys like sam magara, benon tumukunde, musisnguzi who sought they were fit to be label leaders, they were lying themselves, even today i wonder what motivated museveni personal doctor and doctor of the high command to take on museveni, museveni was born a leader, he had fought Amin twice, he was a miniter for defence and regional coperation, so he is experienced and no body had a cv like that of museveni. So he was fit to be their leader
