This video was jam packed with beautiful cards and great techniques and it was under 14 minutes. I forget about embossing resist but your cards were a wonderful (and beautiful) reminder that I need to do more of it and using your Distress crayons netted you a fab background and a beautiful card. You took several entirely different products from paper to coloring mediums and showed us multiple options to achieve beautiful success, THANK YOU. FYI, I loved watching you color and smudge and color and smudge away color, blending to perfection to music. GREAT video !!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment. So, what I'm hearing is that you like shorter videos? I think mine average more than 14 minutes because I usually try to do more than one card. But maybe I need to stop doing that and have shorter videos. I appreciate you commenting on the music, too. Now if only I could play my favorite 80's music!

It is a stunner!! Thank you for your inspiration! Did you apply collage medium, let it dry 🙄 and then rub your crayon on? Also, what medium did you use to color the blooms? Distressed crayons? I LOVE 💕 the colors!!!😊 Thank you

Thank you so much for watching! Yes, I wish I had filmed that card, but since it was my first time playing with the distress crayons, I really wasn't expecting much. I did brush on the collage medium and let it dry before applying the crayons. And yes, the blooms were also colored with the crayons - that was the really easy part.! I will try to do a video soon with some embossing folders and crayons!

I am definitely disappointed that SSS as well as GinaK have changed from rubber to photopolymer for their background stamps. Love your cards, though!

I hear you. And I'm not entirely sure what's going on. I believe I heard the owner of Simon say that they're releasing some of customers' favorite rubber stamps as clear ones. So, I don't know if that's intentional or if there is an issue with the rubber. I did ask around and had heard that other companies were having issues with red rubber vendors. If that's true, hopefully it's just temporary. I will say that using this particular clear one the same way that I use my rubber ones did work. Thank you so much for watching - I appreciate it ♥

Gorgeous cards! Love all three! I have had distress crayons forever and have never played with them. You have definitely inspired me to use them. I like red rubber and clear. When i first started collecting stamps, red rubber was the only choice, I think it's easier to get great impressions with red rubber, and especially on background stamps.

Thank you so much for watching. I agree - red rubber is much better for detail. However, some background stamps really don't need that fine detail, especially when you're doing techniques like this. So, I guess either works!

Thank you so much for watching! Glossy paper is also great for word dies. I forgot to mention in the video that I used that same white glossy paper for the "thanks" on the blue card

Wow, these came out so so beautiful! 😍. For background stamps, I really prefer red rubber. I’m sad that companies are moving towards clear background stamps, I get better impressions with red rubber.

Have you noticed it with other companies, too? I wonder what's going on with the red rubber! For what I do with background stamps, it may not make a huge difference, since I usually throw so much stuff at it, you can't tell what's going on in the background anyway LOL. But, I agree. Red rubber is better. A friend told me that there are people who don't like using rubber cling. I don't know.

@@allisonfrazier yes, I have seen other companies switching to photopolymer for their background stamps😞. I have a hard time getting a good impression with polymer background stamps. I do reach for polymer stamps more then a red rubber for regular images though, they are easier to use. It’s certainly a preference
