Embossing Calligraphy & Hand Lettering || DIY

Any tips to prevent distortion of the paper?

Embossing "ink" is just glycerin and water, so it would be interesting to try and do calligraphy with a stick pen and glycerin/water. Might be hard to see what you're doing though. In rubber stamping, people also often use pigment ink in the color they want and then emboss that with clear embossing powder. That way, if you have stray embossing powder, it's less visible after it gets inadvertently melted on. Nothing more annoying than having specks of black around your black lettering on white paper, LOL. Again, it might be interesting to letter with pigment ink and then emboss....(Don't use dye ink for this because it dries too quickly)
