I have the same issue as my natural hair color is a reddish brown so ash colors are not the most flattering for me but even a warm or dark blonde would help hide and blend greys.
Yes, I would visit you in a heartbeat. My hair guy finds this whole concept of grey blending so challenging that it makes me wanna cry every time I go for a top up.
I like be this. I do have a question??? Why did you start in the front? I’m a former hairstylist and I know the front of my hair would fry before the back was processed
When you tone it, does the grey hair take to it in the same way the highlighted parts do? I wish more hairdressers understood this type of look (unless I'm picking the wrong ones!). Looks great btw, I love it :)
The grey hair doesn't tone at all generally. Doing extremely fine babylights just helps blend with the grey vs getting rid of the grey that way there's no grow out line
@@hairbykristijennings6648 thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it :) . I asked my hairdresser for the same thing but ended up with blonde hair with a tint of green(!) I wasn't sure if it was the greys picking up the toner in a weird way or something. You did a great job.. You need cloning! All the work I've seen from you looks amazing. Thanks again x
Thank you, and oh no! Sometimes if the hair is too white you need to add some warmth to the formulation to prevent grabbing too grey/ashy/green etc..... hopefully should wash out within a few washes
@@hairbykristijennings6648 A little far I am on the East Coast! My hair is turning white most of white is on the top half of the head. My natural hair is a light warm brown. Right now it's all virgin hair. However now my top half of my hair looks much lighter than the natural hair. I was wondering if a balayage with two colors in it a dark golden brown and maybe a dark strawberry blond sounds like it would work? I have cool skin tones very pale skin with freckles. I don't want to go more than two shades lighter as I want my hair to stay in nice condition. The whites are super fragile and seem to be getting broken so easily it's very frustrating watching my hair breaking. So that is my concern with coloring it - maybe it's too much for the hair... urgh. I do want it to grow out with out harsh hair lines nice and soft. OR would FOILAYAGE be better for me? I am one that won't go more than once a year for color. Also as I said my hair won't tolerate it.
Great video and finally someone is making videos on this. Can you do a video on what you would do for someone who is more grey especially in the crown area? I'm about 70 percent grey in the crown (the donut) with a dark underneath and and a dark blond patch in front (of course) and grey at the temples. I would like to work with my grey, but it seems impossible. Working with grey can make women feel as though other's think that they don't take care of their appearance. I also considered going very light or all over. Low lights always turn very brassy after about 3 weeks on me which is frustrating. :-(
The video is awesome and I have decided to stop coloring my hair. I have about 50 % grey and I would like this color as it grows out. So what exactly where the products you used so I can show my beautician? Thanks
Her hair is gorgeous! I am starting to get grays and they look so odd because they are a different texture and lay in weird directions. If I could blend them with the rest of my hair, it would look a lot better
Hi I m looking a bit grey on top and through most of my hair I get soft light brown through but think if not fighting the gray what would you recommend
Love this strategy! Do you think it could work for Asian hair being close to Level 2, or is the hair just too dark to look ok? Any amount of lightening makes me so brassy😖
My natural hair is level 3 with 50% silver and added highlights. It looks blended and great. Hope your hairdresser uses dark blonde toners on you and not 9, 10 level so that grabs better and lasts longer on ur dark hair.
Dying hair isn’t a ‘fight’. I have natural blonde hair but have dyed it all sorts of colours. I would never let it go grey cos I’ve dyed it grey before and it just doesn’t suit me, like lime green doesn’t suit me. I’m sick to death of these grey hair nazis. Let people go what colour they want it’s THEIR hair STOP making a huge song and dance to make others especially women ‘embrace’ their grey. Hair is just a makeup. It’s just hair. Like you change clothes… hair is hair. And honestly it’s rare anyone suits grey, especially older people.
