Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and it is the duty of the beholder to break free from the beauty standards that society conforms to.A model and an artist, Ranjani Ramakrishnan finds perfection in the imperfection. Being diagnosed with vitiligo at the age of 11, she struggled with societies notion of beauty. It was when she agreed to model for a peers photography assignment, she knew she was destined for more. Her acceptance of vitiligo opened doors for her as an aspiring model and artist . She views the patches on her skin as art and expresses herself through self portraits on social media.
