We use Madeira Thread 40 weight poly. Needle size may vary, I used my 75/11 sharp would work best, but you can use other size needles. Also what type of belt or strap and the thickness will matter. But get a extra belt - strap and use it for setup, or a old used belt- strap to practice on. That is the only way to get it down.
