Hey Tiffany! Thanks :) I have actually never stitched a house with cedar shakes before, but I think I would satin stitch each cedar shake vertically in slightly different colors to give them a bit more definition. Or perhaps even mix some strands of floss, like 2 light brown and 1 dark brown, to give it more of a grainy wood look. Or you could use this color combo and satin stitch thin stacked rows across the house and then later add a one strand horizontal straight stitch in between each row to further define them.
