Love the new merch, artsy! I wouldn't be too bent out of shape about $20 international shipping cost. It's being shipped across seas and it is what it is. When I buy things from different countries I don't get upset about stuff like that and I think most practical people won't. Great job, diggin all of your newest creations ❤ always inspiring.

Pirate Ship has a Simple Export option you can sign up for that makes shipping much cheaper for smaller items like these hats. I think it'd be like $15-16? Not a huge difference, but anything to make it more affordable. You also don't have to have a label printer to print labels from Pirate Ship. I just print them on my regular printer and tape them to the package.

Great work !!! Concerning shipping: In Germany now the wages for delivery people are so low, that only "forein foreiners" are willing to work for really a ridiculous pay-check... ...the problem is , that now only some of the parcels arrive at the owner's door - the rest goes to the other "private market".

I made a huge shopping mistake once. I make and sell macrame, someone from the US ordered from my Etsy. The shipping was set at £15 but it actually cost me £55 to ship it from UK to America 😂😭 I was so upset.

Don’t know if someone has mentioned this but you can embroidered directly on the beanie I crochet my own beanies and then embroidered on top of it. You just need stabilizer on the back and water soluble stabilizer on the top.

I swear I tried that once & the beanie was kinda too squishy & my sewing machine didn’t like embroidering on it haha maybe I can try again cause that’d save me some timeeee

it sure does save so much time :) just make sure you use the two stabilizers the water soluble on top and i use tear away on the bottom and they come out amazing! @@ArtsyMadwoman

Hi Heather, I know you are very busy and constantly making filming and editing, but I would highly recommend watching a few sewing tutorials regarding sewing bias binding and sewing corners. I really think some of the techniques would really improve the ease with your rug borders :). I understand being self-taught and it's a great way to really learn things, but I find once I get to a certain point, watching hacks/short tutorials can really make me go hmmm .. if you feel me xxx

I definitely should haha that’d be so useful. I don’t think I can sew onto the rugs because of the glue & thickness but could still be useful!

@@ArtsyMadwoman Yeh I completely understand. I wasn't very clear. It's the way they cut the fabric for corners for the bias binding or even just how they cut the fabric for rounded corners. They kind of do lil snips but not all the way through and it helps straight fabric go around corners. I was thinking that technique would help you. :) Luv ya x

I got an idea for a rug from some blue squiggles.. but i dont make rugs 😂❤ what if it was a waterfall thats gone wonky, or any liquid for that matter but I saw blue and thought of water.. like instead of spilling downward with gravity it zigzags or floats or something

What is the stitch that you use to sew on the patches? I love Holo Taco and got a Dad Hat from them that I cut up to make my own patch, but I was thinking of hand sewing it until I saw your adorbs beanies. 😊

Awww that’s so cool! I thiiiink it’s some kind of overlock stitch! The zig zag one haha
