Download the Photoshop embroidery action and follow the tutorial to start creating your realistic embroidery badges in Photoshop from raster images with transparent background.
Install the embroidery action file (.ATN), the embroidery brushes (.ABR) and embroidery patterns (.PAT). Run the main action as shown in the video.

Thanks for this. Looks great and helpful. I am looking for an embroidery that has layered threads like the edge has on you example. The rest of your badge has like a cross stitch embroidery. How do you make flat stitches like you have on the edge?

Looking fresh! My only grip with this is that the embroidery pattern doesn't really like look like threads but more like a pin holes if you know what I mean.

Yes, you are correct. The intention was to get a look like the painted fabric badges. Anyway, you could try to create your own pattern and simply replace the one from the package with it. Just name it the same.

hi Jordan, unfortunately there's no way to do that unless you insert a stop in the action write before the border is created and then change the brush size before the path is stroked. an alternative would be to apply this in 2 different documents on the same image: one regular size and one 50% smaller. then take the stroke in the smaller image and resize x2. there will be some quality loss though

@@milantanaskovic2586 actually no Milan, I don't see it like this. Digital logos, badges, etc are totally different from physical ones. I don't know exactly how embroidery machines work, but they usually take in a graphic design - putting in a design made with my action would kind of double things

Hi, for some reason every time I follow the steps, any white in the design ends up grey. I have tried so many times and keep ending up with a grey design that I can't change to white - even when using the fill tool. In fact using the fill tool makes it more grey!! @@PSDDude I bought the bundle that came with a lot of stuff, but I’m pretty sure I installed everything. The errors are “The command ‘Make’ is not currently available.” Same for stroke and delete. I took some screenshots that shows where in the action the error occurs. I can email them if you’d like. I’m on photoshop cc 2023 if that matters.

@@PSDDude Same as ThaMyth44, I downloaded this today and it has the slightly different name and different folder contents. I was able to load the actions and brushes etc. but there's no CC version in the actions list and none of the actions had an "add details" option. I tried each action separately but I haven't been able to get any of them to work like this tutorial. I get a really nice red border pattern but the main part of my picture disappears every time or is filled in with the edge colour.

To be honest its not the cost that bothers me that much...its the fact when you click the link and scroll down a bit. It says this isn't for print. Totally defeats the purpose for those of us trying to learn a new skill and produce/ display it on product

sorry this bothers you. it's true this is not for print, but that's because you cannot make the badge into a poster for example. if you only want to do a small badge and place it on a design, then you might get away with it.
