Considering that EMD is owned by Caterpillar (specifically the Progress Rail Services subsidiary), a CAT-liveried EMD loco makes tons of advertising sense - I'm actually surprised there aren't more of them (at least in the US) - especially when you have trains consisting entirely of Caterpillar consist. You could even have Progresss Rail-logoed locomotives for the leasing operations (which is, in fact, Progress Rail's third largest operation by revenue).
Late reply...EMDX 1201 is still in service but it has been owned by a shortline railroad for awhile now. It was repainted and sold to the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad.
You know, the locomotive is really cool but there's a lot more to a train than just the locos. It would have been nice to actually see what the train is hauling.
