URA's recent guidelines aim to ensure a mix of unit sizes, even in compact spaces, especially in the Central Area, where urban living is popular. By requiring at least 20% of units to be over 70 sqm, the goal is to create a comfortable, liveable environment, even in higher-density developments. Compact doesn’t mean cramped-it can be thoughtfully designed for both small families and urban professionals.
