This is a quick tour of the Emerald Princess cruise ship. The Emerald Princess was built in 2007 and last refurbished in April 2019. It is 113,581 tons and carries 3,080 passengers. It is a very nice ship with a fabulous crew. The captain is very friendly and posed for a selfie with us.
The food was always good. At the very back of the buffet they make omelettes in the morning. In the afternoons they alternate between ramen and fish fry and BBQ.

Thank you so much for your detailed full tour of the Emerald Princess. We cruise on her in April 2021 from Seattle,Washington to Hawaii ,with a stop in Victoria,BC Canada on the way back...16 nt voyage! We have a cabin on Deck 14 Aft. Which I am glad to see there is a way to get to the Aft pool very close to our room (if doors are open of course) ...your tour is one of the best I have seen❤👍

Excellent video. I watched it to see what the ship is like because I've booked to go to New Zealand from Sydney in December 2021. I am crossing my toes and fingers hoping the Coronavirus pandemic nightmare will be over by then!

I sailed on Ruby Princess which is almost identical to this ship. The entertainment is also similar. The promenade deck where I loved to sit on one of those chairs. I made sure I was inside before they swept the deck and collected the dead.Lol!! I was on a 32 day cruise and I loved every minute. This is a great ship tour.

I am booked on the Emerald Princess, May 24, 2020 for an Alaska Cruise. My cabin is also on Lido (L253) because I wanted access to the observations deck above the bridge. My only Princess cruise was in 2005 in the Caribbean. Thanks for the detailed tour it helps a lot. Not crazy about all of the upcharges for certain dining and lounge areas. This seems to be going on with other Cruise lines too. This will be my 30th Cruise and my second Alaskan cruise.
@PortMonkeys

We don't care for paying in restaurants on a cruise either. The Observation Deck (Monkey Island) on deck 15 was only open twice on our 29 day cruise. Once in the Canary Islands and through the Panama Canal. It was very crowded in the canal. We hope they open it more on your cruise. We were on the Star Princess to Hawaii and it was always open. Thank you for your comments. Don't forget to subscribe.

@@PortMonkeys the observations decks should be open on Alaska cruises, especially when cruising the Fjords! If not I will go to the Customer Service Desk and inquire. Just got off the RC Oasis of the Seas amazing ship with a professional crew & staff.

This is the best ship review of any ship I have watched so far. Low key, honest with both praise and criticism, good detail, useful descriptions and Info, all super, thanks for the great work I've subscribed to your channel and I'll check out other videos for the next few cruises my wife and I have in the works. A request: Please give us ballroom dancers a bit more detail on the dance floors and music. How big are the dance floors? What kind of music is played? Is it actual "dance" music or just high volume disco beats? Are the dance floors crowded? Our last trip was on the NCL Getaway in October and we had a great time on the dance floor in the Tropicana Room and we'd like to find more places like it. In this video at about 4:05 you showed a band called Topaz playing what seemed to be a nice Rhumba and at least one couple dancing a Rhumba to it. More like that please.
@PortMonkeys

We will try to visit all the dance floors on the Enchanted Princess, which is where we are right now, and make a quick video about them. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

@@PortMonkeys Thanks very much, and I expect all ballroom dancing cruisers will be grateful too. Getting info about dance venues and music from cruise lines has been extraordinarily difficult.

You must have sailed on this ship around the same time as me. I recognize a lot of the employees in this video. I was on a 36 day Mediterranean / Transatlantic cruise on Emerald Princess ship. I boarded the ship in Barcelona on October 13, 2019 and I arrived to Fort Lauderdale on November 18, 2019. I have albums on my facebook page with pictures from the trip. This was my 5th Princess cruise.

I sailed on the Emerald Princess in 2008 from Venice, Italy on a 14 day Mediterranean cruise. Overall, I'd rate the ship a 7/10 for overall quality of food and accommodations. My next cruise will be on the Queen Mary 2 for a 30 day cruise from New York to the UK and then on to the Mediterranean again, but to different countries. The QM2 is a far more elegant ship with restrained sophistication and subdued color schemes.

Beautiful ship...I like the look of the dual spiraling staircases winging up in a beautiful pattern like funnels from the piazza. I wasn’t wowed by the shows or the food. The decor of the restaurants and bars was more interesting than the food they appeared to offer. Not sure what that says about Princess, maybe it’s just the Emerald ship.

I've been trying to watch other RU-vid videos on this ship, specifically about the Vines Wine Bar. We sailed on the Grand Princess almost two years ago, and loved that we could get a table at the Vines bar that had a window seat/ocean view. Your tour glosses over the Vines wine bar, so what I'd like to know is: does the Vines Wine bar on the Emerald Princess have seating that is up by windows/ocean views?
@PortMonkeys
@PortMonkeys 4 года назад
Sorry about that. We don't spend much time in Vines. There are a couple of tables with windows but you may have to ask them to open the curtains. Thank you for your comments and we hope you are a subscriber.

It seems like if you were going to make a video showing people around a ship, you would learn enough that you would not have to use phrases like "I guess" , "I have no idea" and "I suppose".
