6th mission from EM4 / 911 first responders. Using LA Mod and additional units submod. As always for me the least amount of casualties at the end of the mission is primary objective. Budget is not a factor.
Yep we are talking about the same thing. Sometimes I get lucky dragging a square over stuff but more of ten than not I have to deselect the unwanted item. Also worth mentioning you can use the same technique to add a single unit to an already selected group as well. Happy to hear your getting something out of these vids. I learnt the same way by watching other vids, but there were not any in HD when I played which is why I did these. :)
It was around 3:30, with your group of Firefighters, along with the Firetruck itself. However, after re-examining it, it does indeed look like you did deselect the Firetruck. I did not know you could deselect units within the group of units you already had selected, I figured it would deselect them all. Thanks a bunch, I learn something new everyday.
If you give me a time at which you see this then I will know exactly what you mean. However If I understand what your asking then I select everything, and then just select the vehicle I don't want using CTRL click. or was it ALT click, I cant remember lol. But it's quicker to select everything then deselect a unit rather than as you say trying to select a bunch of specific units. So to recap: I am more than likely just deselecting what I don't want. hope that's what you meant.
Great video. One question though, how did you select your actual ground units without selecting the vehicle that goes along with the specific units? I can't figure out the combination, I always end up accidentally selecting the vehicles when I don't want them. For example, when I want my Firefighters to equip and attach hose to the Firetruck, I always end up having to carefully select, or drag the box around them. Other times I just can't select all my units without selecting the vehicle too.
