Increíble video ya captaron en cámara el avión F-15 que la llanta frontal explotó y aterrizando en el Aeropuerto Luis Muñoz Marín. Bien hecho.

it was the front gear landing light fell off and burst the tyre. My guess is that the F15's landing light - had it's bulb replaced - and it wasnt screwed fully home - hence it fell off. !!

yep looks like somebody forget to put the screw or pin back in, reminds me of this time I was final checking and S3A on the Enetrprise in 1982. S3s have this long tube that extends out the rear of the plane and is attached by a cable with one nut and bolt so you can remove the bolt and slide it out manually for maintenance. well somebody who was up there pulled the tube in but did not put the screw and nut back on. when the plane throttle up and took the cat shot the plane went 160 and the tube went nowhere but on the deck where the plane was just sitting the Final checker on the other side of the plane and me just stood there like WTF?? then we hear the air boss on the horn screamg like mad to get that tube off his flight deck NOW! flight deck crew yellow shirts picked it up and tossed it over the side. lol thing was like 4 million of imaging sensors and stuff. as we got back down the the flight shack where we hang out the Chief was already there bitching, we were like it was the yellow shirts not us. iIdont think anybody ever fessed up to it and they could not figure out who did it . but it was quite an expierence for a 19 year old kid.

Does not look like a tire failure or exploded. The landing light fell off, could damage the tire, but it landed properly.

After looking at other videos, the plane taxied with an empty tire and when it came out it exploded and the pieces entered the engine. That plane was two more weeks in San Juan due to this incident.
