The emergency sequence is used when an MCB (Full barrier crossing) lowers fully with someone trapped inside. The sequence will start by the barriers re raising and the alarms will reactivate. Once the crossing is clear the barriers will lower again and the crossing will go back to normal.

Lynda Kevin Watton it stays down but if you press the button then it will go back up then it will automatically go down again

UK Level Crossing Spotter & Trains how it works is when you press the button, a request is sent to the signalmen who cancels it and raises. It’s the same for emergency sequence. When you press it, it sends a request and it get cancelled when either Emergency sequence is pressed or raise is pressed.

Yes. Although I think this could have something to do with the signaller at there are proper crossing cameras that look over this crossing.

The alarm isn’t meant to sound at all when it raised, the crossing was going into emergency raise for some reason.

@@UKLCSandT oh I was saying is the alarm supposed to sound like that tho it sounds like the alarm is broken but it might just be the alarm when in emergency sequence

@@TDSWar I think it's caused by two different alarm tones clashing, the crossing was (for some reason as it was closed a month later) revamped in 2019. The South East LC channel has a vid of it afterwards, and the alarms, despite being audibly repaired, still make that weird noise
