In this fast-paced case review, vRad Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Benjamin W. Strong, utilizes cinematic and still imagery to explore the findings and diagnosis of some of his favorite cases complied from vRad’s extensive teaching library.
Become familiar with cirrhosis complications causing acute patient presentations. Identify hepatic CT findings useful in the diagnosis and management of acute complications. Recognize imaging pitfalls that can result in missed/misinterpreted CT findings of acute illness.
Diagnoses: Hemosiderosis (sickle cell), Cirrhosis with portal hypertension, Chronic portal venous thrombosis, Spontaneous bacterial Peritonitis, Portal gastropathy and Hemorrhage, Budd-Chiari syndrome, Vascular invasive HCC, Metastatic bladder carcinoma

About the Speaker
Benjamin W. Strong, MD is Chief Medical Officer at vRad. Dr. Strong earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Tucson; completed his residency in internal medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire; and completed both a radiology residency and a fellowship in Musculoskeletal MRI at the University of Arizona, Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. Dr. Strong is licensed to practice in all 50 U.S. states and holds credentials in a number of foreign countries.
