On September 24, 2024, the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings of the City of New York and the Center for Continuing Legal Education at Albany Law School presented a continuing legal education program about emerging digital evidence admissibility issues.
Albany Law School Professor Michael J. Hutter discussed admissibility issues that arise when digital evidence in all its forms-email, text message, Instagram, social media posts, website contents, computerized records-is offered into evidence. The discussion focused particularly on the hearsay and authentication issues that arise.
