Best setting for frozen pizza is the reheat setting which uses all heating elements including the fan and you could cook rising crust Digiorno frozen pizza at 400C in only 15 min with crispy outside and nice and fluffy on inside. I place my wire rack in the middle so it can get the heat from the bottom and the top.
I got mine last month works great I love it. I just used it today for burgers like you did in the video. Looks like you have to take the burgers off and dump tube grease out if cooking a bunch of burgers or it will over flow! That’s the only down side to using the grilling plate
Couple things here. First, my Ninja 8 in 1 releases steam like that also. I think it's meant to do that. Second, looks like you used pre-made patties from the store. That's a no no. Those always release more juice and gunk than burgers you make yourself. With all that extra juice, there is no way you could get a sear, it's more boiling them. Also, heat that grill up and then check the temp of it with your surface thermometer, I'd want it super hot. Hope you give it another try with real burgers.
My immediate question is: how big is the unit? I have been spoiled by the Wolfgang Puck Pressure oven - big enough to roast a 15 lb. stuffed turkey - it literally replaced my conventional stove oven! I find the infomercials make the units look as big as all outdoors, only to find them not much bigger than a small toaster oven. The Kalorik Maxx oven case in point. The infomercials talk about doing a 12 lb. turkey. Kalorik ovens are now available at my local Walmart - there are toaster ovens that are bigger!!!! I phoned Kalorik and asked if that was the real size of the advertised oven. The receptionist admitted that was the true size. I then expressed my doubts of the oven doing a 5 lb. chicken! I then asked her if Kalorik plans on building a 38 quart capacity oven, she said "no" and I told her that if Kalorik does, I will be the first customer, please pass that on to "the powers that be", she promised she would and we hung up. What size turkey does the Airfryer 360 do? Can it replace my conventional oven or is it the same size as the Kalorik Maxx? If they are both the same size, then thank-you no thank-you! I've seen a few videos with stream release coming out the sides, well when you use a real oven it does the same at 425 or 450 when cooking frozen foods. Don't see any concern. Great video!
The more I watch these demonstrations the more it looks like this particular air fryer is just a new and improved "convection oven", and I right? I would only use this for chicken wings, pizza, egg rolls etc. Another question, does this unit have a vent for the steam/heat to escape? if not that's probably why it needs to escape out the doors.
Come on Jeff. The grease had nothing to do with the oven. If you want less 'grease' then buy ground beef with less 'fat'. Also, next time: (1) make your burgers (not too thin) and then freeze them, (2) out of the freezer (while still frozen) hit them with a butane or propane torch (or put them briefly on a very hot charcoal grill) to get the full Maillard Reaction, (3) put them in the fridge to finish thawing, (4) then out of the fridge and into the Lagrasse to cook them internally (check with your temperature probe). No matter how deliciously flavored your ground beef is, that Maillard Reaction is a desirable addition. - - BTW, damn good video.
I have tried the grill before. I encountered the smoke too. Surprisingly, my smoke detector did not go off. I have trouble getting a good medium rare hamburger. I am still guessing and still getting well done. 🙃 Any suggestions?
Hi, I don't know if you are still doing vids, I hope you are for Emeril 360 French Door. I received it as a gift. I am having trouble with cooking in it. Roasting vegetables, burn. Air fry chicken wings are over cooked with crunch and not tender. So I go hunting for recipes and I do not find any that have worked out. You videos have hope for me but I am still struggling. I also want to use foil for a fast clean up but again 2 schools of thought. I use foil for air frying but not for grilling as I am afraid of the element being damaged. If I had purchased this Emeril 360 French Door I would return it. It is not the oven or grilling replacement I was hoping for. Any suggestions from people with success would greatly appreciated. I am a simple cook not fancy or gourmet. Blessings ❤️
You probably could but since it would be in the machine you'd need to use one with a high heat handle. (No plastic or rubber to melt) thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Frozen pizza… absolutely not. It takes up too much counter space, actually store mine in the garage until I want to air fry because of that. Cast iron skillet is so much easier for a steak. My other air fryer for the countertop stopped working so I got this one. I am not a fan.
I just got this thing. The instructions are horrible. There is a steak setting and Grill setting. When do you use Grill and when do you use steak? Yesterday I made Chicken theighs I put it on chicken and it trook 45 min. But the instructions online say 10 min per side when you air fry Can someone help me.
