They were one the seminal crossover bands from late 80's, early 90's. Can't compare them with anything... They got this beautiful creative mash of hiphop, punk, funk, dance, electronics and alt rock.. they were one of a kind. Very fresh and unique. Maybe why they sold 19 million worldwide of their debut album... Keyboardist uses samples all the time. That's one of their key ingredients. The guitar sometimes sounds in vein of Guns'n Roses' Slash...very melodic and powerful. Zac's bass very funky and cool Faith No More vibe at times.. Awesome, fabulous band you don't find every generation. So much character and gusto they provide live here..
I agree. Underrated band in the U.S.A... Underrated like 311 or Jawbreaker ...the guitar does sound like a guitar...kind of like the stooges song sounded like a stooges song. Its funny how that works sometimes huh?😂 I'm just being a dick, sorry. I hate it when people say bands sound like other bands... Probably because I do that in my head TOO!...and I'm REALLY trying to STOP.🤘😉🤘
I wonder if any of EMF musicians are still alive?? Ofcourse I can google for it... But things they've done included alot of drugs, I am sure.... Great times. Great Music. Love TALLIN!!!! LOVE EMF!!!
if you're only listening mainstream radio hits... than yes. But if you're dig deeper into music, than definitely you would find some other gems Take Stigma album, for instance - the tunes of the album sounded beyond that time. Or Cha Cha Cha album with gems like Shining or Bleeding You Dry
You just had to be there to really like them. They were so hyper and energetic. The vocals were cool as shit and it all made the 90s music awesome and exciting. It was a fun time. I couldn't get enough.
