Since 2019, Ive lost my cousin to murder when I was 16, my god mother and her brother on the same day when I was 18, and my uncle Mac right before I graduated highschool and this just makes me think that maybe I’m not alone in the way that I miss them. Maybe I’m not alone in the pain I feel because this song describes what I’ve been feeling since I was 16. To me its That kind of loss of a person you thought you would have forever even though you know it’s not true but you still have that little kid inside you that hopes it is. I never let myself feel anything because I was always wondering if someone would need me. I never healed from any of it because I was worried about everyone but myself. Thank you for writing this song, it almost feels like it was a message from one of them telling me that it’s ok to feel it and miss them.
