The cutest kid in the world, Emily Bear on Ellen. She dedicated a song called "Once Upon A Wish" for Ellen and Portias wedding and because Ellen got her wish...
Well, from what I see when Ellen is about to cry, she does a deep breath and thats exactly what she did when Emily said that... there is such a connection between them is awesome!
it must be so heart warming for ellen to have grown up with strong hate against homosexuality, to now having a little girl preparing a song for her wedding :)
This little girl gave Ellen a wonderful song about a love wish come true without any prejudice about Ellen's partner ...... I wish all humans would respect and encourage the simple and essential love wish of others.
In 2008, Emily won an ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award for her piece "Northern Lights", the youngest composer ever to win the award. In 2015, she won an ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award for her orchestral piece "Les Voyages". In 2016, she won an ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award for her piece "Old Office". In 2017, she won an ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award, for her piece"Je ne sais pas". Man I love her....I love how her piece for Ellen reflects her life. How it's sad at the beginning but then turns into this happy uplifting part, because now she is happy. She's great and I hope she has her on the show again.
this is part of another life, she plays like a person who has played for many years, the positioning of hands and feet totally aligned as it has been 40, 50 years, impressive. Past lives in this life. 2019 haha
Watch this video when she is age 5 and age 13 at the second part of the video Video title: Emily Bear (5) the youngest professional pianist & composer of all time

Quote Quincy Jones Part of inteview Bilboard with Quincy Jones about Emily Bear.at age 9. Is another Quincy album coming? Quincy: Then there's Emily Bear; President Obama calls her "Baby Mozart." She's been writing for symphonies since she was 5 and also plays bossa nova and the blues. She sings "Celie's Blues" from "Color Purple," anything. When we first met her, her feet wouldn't even touch the floor. She just did a concert at Carnegie Hall with a choir and a symphony orchestra. She’s the most delightful human being I’ve ever met in my life. And her music is the same way. I am at once astounded and inspired by the enormous talent that Emily embodies. With the ability to seamlessly move from Classical to Jazz and Be-bop, she shows as much musical prowess as pianists/composers twice her age, and I am thrilled to be working with her. She’s astounding, man … she’s astounding. She plays like she’s 40 years old. She is the complete 360-degree package, and there are no limits to the musical heights she can reach.” - Quincy Jones
@thomas anderson (Dorry for my Englisch) Emily Bear is highly intelligent. although she has been traveling all over the world since she was 5 years old to give concerts and perform in TV shows as a professional composer and pianist and also composed many pieces, she is already 15 years old and High School graduate.
She is sooo amazing! Especially because she's so normal and seems like such a happy kid. It's obvious that she really has a God-given talent, not like some poor kids who are great musicians just because their parents force them to practice 10 hours a day.
On one of the shows, Emily's mom said all she wishes is that she is happy and has good values. Well, she sure is a sweet girl on top of being a prodigy.
to me she's the most talented young little girl, with a heart inspired to the most beautiful music of piano, every time i log in i always play her music, it's so touchy, and so loving she has a heart of an angel, you are so sweet Emily.
"A very, very clean glass door!" She's adorable and an absolutely skilled musician. You have to give credit to her parents and teachers for helping raise her with such a good head on her shoulders, too. Best wishes from Canada, Emily!
@katjamomcilov00 She has written her own songs, she had memorized pieces that take over 45 minutes to play and I saw her at Ellen for the first time when she was 6 and she is a prodigy. She is a good person. Wrote a song to Ellen called "Once Upon A Wish" because Ellen finally got her wish, her wife Portia.
She has a lot in common with Mozart who was a child prodigy as well. His sister recalled: "He often spent much time at the clavier, picking out thirds, which he was ever striking, and his pleasure showed that it sounded good.... In the fourth year of his age his father, for a game as it were, began to teach him a few minuets and pieces at the clavier.... He could play it faultlessly and with the greatest delicacy, and keeping exactly in time.... At the age of five, he was already composing little pieces, which he played to his father who wrote them down"
This is unbelievable! I just hope she will keep her interest in music because she sure is a child prodigy. Normally I think that titel (child prodigy) is absurd and stupid - but here it fits. She is a brilliant composer! I have been playing classical music for almost 14 years and I would never be able to compete with that little girl. God bless her and her family and let her stay a child until as long as possible. I hope she will enjoy playing and composing forever.
Actually she dedicated it to a PERSON who got their wish... without judgement, which is what God has called us to as well. Let us try to remember that these are people created, and loved absolutely, by Him and not just social "issues". Unevenly yoked? I'm pretty sure it doesn't get more even than this. Why is it yours to say if they are even or not? This girl shows me the love of God a lot more than negative comments do.
I don't think you can compose music like that and not love it. I really loved the song written for the wedding - it hard accept she actually composed it. I wish she will continue to compose music even when she grows up - life can be hard but hopefully music will help her get through it.
if you watch her segment on WGN, they interview her mother and grandmother. Neither of them seemed at all pushy or gloated that their daughter/grandchild was a prodigy - they even banned that word from the house. They just want her to be happy, and she definitely seems to be a mature and very well adjusted kid who just has a natural gift and joy in music.
she is amazing. i have been playing piano for 2 years. and i am now 14 years old and no where NEAR as good as she is. she really is a musical prodigy with an angels heart. comment and tell me what your take on her is.
that's untrue, i've been playing the piano since i was 7 and i'm 13 now and still love it. it's hard work and sometimes gets frustrating but it's NOT IMPOSSIBLE to love playing the piano as a little girl.
