I was gonna say the same thing. I thought it'd go back and forth until I scrolled throughout and realized it was fixed on Rob Marshall only.

I watch anything Emily does. She's truly a unique actress. I'll watch movies I wouldn't ordinarily watch if she's in them.

I like this side view of Emily. It's like we're in the room with her and we see everything and she does it well!

So glad that I watched this interview. I didn’t know her well before. Sort of based my impression on the character she portrayed in the Devil Wears Prada. Or judge her simply just by her Hollywood perfect appearance. I can see now why the interviewer is gushing over her with praises especially after hearing her answering what she thinks Success is. She is besides being talented, inspiring, funny and unbelievably wise. I watched a lot of spiritual podcasts. She,to me embodies what the great Taoist Zhuangzi’s ideal human state…living effervescently in awe and in love with Life moment to moment.

I wish she had talked about Ewan Mcgregor or their film Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. That movie is what made me fall in love with Emily. She and Ewan have such great chemistry it would have been nice to hear about it than her going on a musical tangent instead.

I thought of Emily Blunt as an actress who couldn't play dark movies... until I saw her in Sicario, amazing.

For someone who never trained and just went to a private school to do her A levels … didn’t she do well! Her parents didn’t get her there. She did it herself. And remained herself. A rare thing. Beautiful to watch develop.

Emily is a star, and deserves all the success she is getting, but she is British, and we are very proud of her. We have lent America great talents before, and, because our government takes 50% of their earnings they stay in America, so look after this one, and don’t break her.

I love that Rob is the moderator cause Mary Poppins and Into the Woods are some of my personal favorite performances Emily has done and he was the director of those films. I mean Into the Woods isn't my favorite film but I loved Emily's performance. They're what made me a fan of hers and I obviously watched and loved her in Devil Wears Prada and I want to watch The English and Oppenheimer.

What an amateurish setup, was this interview supposed to be about the interviewer or Emily? Does "Film Independent" know nothing about camera angles?

Although both her and Matt take every opportunity they can to fire shots at the Adjustment Bureau, it's the film that got me hooked on her in the first place, and I think deep down they know it was a good film. As Rob Marshall was saying, the chemistry in it (especially their first scene) was off the chain in that one (it had to be as the whole file was based around the value of their relationship) Still, it also had a unique Sci-Fi twist, great story telling and great cameo roles, but more than anything else, Em said in a later interview that the role of Elise was the closest character to her own real character that she's portrayed in a film (and let's face it, how could you not fall for a woman like Elise in real life).

Whoever staged Emily facing away should be schooled if not fired from further productions! Whom is the star here? No excuse for this error in an other wise great production! Rob took his time giving Emily some room to talk….

What were the two movies that she had never watched the ones she did not enjoy…
@IIIIDCIIII
@IIIIDCIIII 6 месяцев назад
@@bobcarter6143I’m going to assume one of those films was Looper. In a lot of her interviews she strays away from talking about that film, even in this interview she never commented on it. Not sure what the other could be though.
@sallypenhalli

He was the wrong person to interview her. Every question is the same, he mentions the name of the movie, gushes about her performance for ten minutes then asks "how did you do that" in utter amazement each time. And she gives him the same answer in ten different ways. Shes interested in what motivates people, she doesn't see them as one dimensional so doesnt portray them that way, instead she brings light and shade because shes interested in the complexity of humans. I got that at 10 minutes in, so at 30 minutes in why does he ask again? I dont know if he changed track and asked her something more interesting later because i just cant bear to listen to him gush for the next hour to find out. Why is Hollywood like this, nothing of substance ever from these supposedly talented people. It's just so cringe.
