Is it just me or is the baker and Cinderella the only ones in this film with a positive growth arc? This song highlights it as you can tell by the subtle differences between the baker and his wife. She's still looking at the outward things. She's there for him and not for them together.
That's why they survive- by the end of the play they realize what they've done wrong and work to put the kids (who notably also all survive) ahead of their selfish desires

I played Little Red, my friends Ciara and Zac got the Baker + Baker's wife roles, Neve got the Witch, Shannon got Rapunzel, Finn was Jack, Chloe was Jack's mother, Harriet and Sophie got Florinda and Drizella (I think that's how you spell it) Molly got the Stepmother, Charlotte was Cinderella, Adam was the Prince (Chris Pine) and Tom was the other Prince (Billy Magnussen) and the actual teacher at our school played Little Red's grandmother - it was such a show I want to do it again :)
+Olmpian_Gold Drizella is the correct spelling for the Disney stepsister, but her name is Lucinda in the play. It's funny because yesterday was opening night of my into the woods play and the girl who plays Jacks mom is named Chloe too!
The Baker and Baker's wife have to be one of my favorite couples. When you're young you can only see their mistakes, but getting older, you see these mistakes in contrast to >>facing the world. Yeah they made mistakes but they also managed to strive and seek! It's one thing to judge and another completely to face the world with a partner. It makes me cry Everytime. I think about how many mistakes my friends have made but how happy I get when I see them grow. AND it's so refreshing to get that prospective from people who aren't perfect!

I won't deny that they're both good singers but I don't think any will be as good as Joanna Gleason and Chip Zien. I'm really clouded by nostalgia but they're really amazing

I'm just saying that she looked pregnant and done physical things in the movie. u can lose baby doing stuff like that. the crew looked after her. that's what I was saying. ffs. obviously a man who don't care about things like this. I take it that ure gf hadn't been pregnant otherwise u will know when pregnant u have to be careful what u do. cause doing anything bad can kill baby. but u don't care about stuff like that.
My parents and I just saw a school production of this play. It was really great. In this, they had one of the girl students play Milky White. She was the best thing in the play. She was so hilarious. During this song, you can see her in the background hitting her head against a tree because of how annoyed she is and at the end, she sticks her finger in her mouth like she wants to puke because she’s disgusted with the baker and his wife.
So I’m the baker in my camp doing ctl, and we are doing into the woods jr, and the choreography is odd, but manageable, though, the first show is in 4 days and we only went over it once
i was just thinking "aw, one of the only cute straight couples that didnt make it over the top and awkward" and then i watched the actual thing and SHE CHEATED ON HIM AND DIED ALMOST STRAIGHT AFTER i stand by my previous statement, the straights arent okay
