Yeah, I was pretty disappointed too. I honestly liked the chorus, but disliked the verses for the most part. The instrumental was kinda cool, but it kinda felt like it was building up to something that never actually happened, especially with that little synth part towards the end of Tron's verse.

Personally loved Houdini a lot. I’m fine with the wordplay/punchline style for em, my main issue on MTBMB was his voice and delivery. On Houdini that was definitely better, and he put more effort behind the comedic bars, so with the more “chipper” and light-hearted delivery, I liked it a lot. Plus I find the best infectiously catchy, reminded me of Relapse a bit. However, not feeling this one a lot. Not too familiar with Baby Tron, but he was probably the best part. Big Sean has never fully done it for me. He has his performances I somewhat enjoy, this ain’t one. Em’s verse was Average, decent rhyme schemes, but the voice and flow was more in tune with MTBMB, which like I said, very mixed on. In general, it’s meh. Not bad or good. Just a passable, inoffensive post 2013 Eminem song. Obviously as a fan who would love a Great return to form album to end off the shady character, I hope this is one of the worst ones to my ears, and everything else on the album is a bit better. I’m not too bothered tho. Em’s got some of my favorite songs ever. His first 3 albums, Relapse, and MMLP 2 are all very good albums and deserve to be appreciated in the genre. Em’s already established himself as one of my favorite rappers ever, despite having more bad than good from 2017 to now. If this new album has, even 4 more songs I like as much as Houdini, I’ll take it. He’s already certain to have dozens of songs in my rotation till I die, I’m not gonna be overly demanding. At the end of the day, since MTBMB, he’s mostly stopped overly caring about the media reception, and he’s just making what he wants, hoping his fans like to too. Nothing wrong with that. I’m happy for him, and at this point, with how fucked up his first half of his life was, I’m just glad to see the man look mostly content with the life he’s built, and the passionate fan base he’s assembled. Plus, the impact he had on the genre from 1999-2003 will probably never be replicated, so his legacy is already cemented in the book of HipHop, for the people who care about that. This is pretty much the reason why I keep my expectations low. I don't want to hype anything up because it cpuld just be alright or straight up bad. I kept my expectations low for Houdini and did the same with Tobey, and that's probably why I enjoy them a lot. In my opinion i think he just had extremely high expectations for the song. So in his eyes, those high expectations were not met. This is why my expectation for anything is always at the middle or low so that i can enjoy the shit and even if it is bad, i already had a low expectation from the start
I was expecting an explosive verse like the last verse in bad guy if you know what I mean. This track needed some energy. This even would of been a good opportunity for Eminem to speed rap again. I would consider changing the lyrics a bit even the simple correction of "instead of being bitten by a spider I was bitten by THE goat." Then proceed with better verses out of Big Sean and Babytron to give off the feeling that Eminem Eminem gave them the talent and be goated. Basically I was expecting way better verses out of all of them. Like you said. Still a 7-8/10 not bad but can be exceptional.
I saw as Em purposely not going as hard to give more spotlight to Tron n Sean. Which in my opinion was pretty good from Sean n definitely better than what I expected from Tron since it was my first time hearing him.
