FBI Exactly. His higher pitched stuff does show off some clever rhymeschemes, but it's got more to do with his ability to bend the pronunciation of words to fit his use for them. There's an interview with him where he says he 'delights in rhyming words that people say can't be rhymed" and uses the word 'orange' as an example. He then proceeds to bend about half a dozen words so they rhyme with 'orange'.
Hendrix, Jackson, Eminem.... Some artists can't be reached in their domain. That's why we still listen to mozart to this day. My kids will listen to eminem with their kids, he's gonna stay a legend for at least 2 centuries don't worry ;)
"Prepare your vernacular for Dracula acupuncture" The thing about Eminem's lyrics is that they bring forth a very clear image in your brain, he literally has the ability to shape and form ideas in your own mind.
he has an insane vocabulary, cuz when he dropped out of school,he read the dictionary and theasurus. he admitted it in an interview little while back. thats why no artist today is on his level.. or ever will be. he could diss anyone with words we've probably never heard of.
+Bryce Walker I'm in grade 10 and I don't say fire or see my elders as "A bunch of up-tight pussies" because I'm not one to participate in the bad views that create stereotypes about my generation to be "Degenerate public school kids"" or having the title of disrespectful.
+Mikee Anderson He only said it because a lot of people didn't like it themselves that's why he even changed up his flow and he said he didn't like it because its just full of jokes and nothing that he can continue on other songs for other albums.
You are stupid if you think that. This album has been praised a lot, receiving mostly positive ratings. It was considered his worst (before shady XV) because when you compared it to the other albums he had, it wasn't as good
+Jeremy Shifflett This is probably Em's most underrated album. A lot of people couldn't get over the accent. Though it received praise like you said it also got a lot of hate.
I agree ,this album got better with time. The album looked even better once recovery came out. Honestly relapse to me is one the last original hip hop albums iv heard to this date.
I think its cos he went through a bad time. And he almost died so he didnt want to feel like he let people down again. Plus the reviews for Relapse are quite poor. Which probably is the reason why he dislikes it. But in all fairness its such a sick album
Eminem the only American who can rap about a Scottish instrument in a middle east place while doing a Jamaican accent and finish the song singing Arabic. This is talent people 😂
@@thecommenter1788 hah, there is no bagpipes in Scotland? No no. Americans should stop canceling other cultures and saying they are all African. 🤦🏻♀️ It's getting silly.
@@mancube7645 "there are no bagpipes in Scotland?" Who said that there are no bagpipes in Scotland? And are you assuming that I am America? Because I am European. You should try reading better.
Almost 2020 and relapse is still a classic for me. I get that an older Em might cringe with the accents and stuff, but for me the energy, the bars, the agressive flow, everything about this album is dope. In my opinion it's better than recovery and revival, with more replay value.
@@mcfch9625 every em album is good or great in every way if you think cause always you find new things and thats what s co about eminem you can listen an em song 100 times and still can t catch all the jokes meanings and catchprases
The lyrical madness he spits on this song blows me away no matter how many times i listen. eminem is definitely a type of god in my eyes, nobody else reads the god damn dictionary and eminem is the proof people prolly should. This the only man in the world that can rhyme a word with orange in a multi bar song. In my opinion NOBODY can JUUUUUUST quite as clever as this man he is literally a lyrical mad scientist
Well........ That will never happen so don't even bother trying to text back.....oh, and remember to stay out of my god damn business, thank you have a nice day😊
You hate me???? Awwww well that's okay we all have our reasons, Saahir Khan 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh and again that will never happen too me or u sooooooo, back the fuck off dude!!!!!😡
Scottish Slav 🏴 wise up ye heure ye, sure the anthem of Scotland is the same as ours here in norn iron, the crackin open of a bottle of buckwine.
I wish I could have been in the studio admiring Em just recording all these masterpieces. Every one of those songs are just lyrical perfection mixed with genius comedic verses wrapped up in untouchable flow.
Jose I'm with you dude. It feels like more of a complete project than many of his other albums, rivaled only by TES. I find the themes and vibe in Relapse much more fun though.
It is a solid album, and on a purely lyrical level it’s his best work. The thing that got most people wasn’t even the accents, it was that the subject matter was so monotone and repetitive between each song. Someone needs to count how many times he mentions Valium in this album, because it’s literally in every song. I still love relapse, I don’t think most of the hate is warranted, and people have come around to relapse in recent years but I understand why it got the response it did when it was released. Still sold millions of copies of course, so who cares in the end.
this was seriously the best album he created in my opinion. I've enjoyed about every other but this whole album showed how nuts he became and then how he was able to overcome all of it afterward. this song is so damn talented hah
I’m here to take in the genius of this song and album. I always knew it was good but man, now that I’m older I’m really appreciating all the subtleties a lot more. What an insanely good rapper he is
Matt Munyiri god damn sometimes ppl forget about slim. Eminem has literally three mentalities he can rely on to destroy ppl and slim shady is his hardest. I think he used that on mgk. Mgk just has to realize he's a child in this game compared.
Highking Stoner he couldn't even count how many albums ago Recovery was and Em released a song on the anniversaries of Patrick Swayze and 2Pac and had references to them for maximum deadness. Let's talk about it.
Matt Munyiri who couldnt remember how albums away it was? Never knew em released song on those days and if he really did even mute if an rap head. In just tired of seeing ppl complaining about him when hip hop heads knows the influence he brought and ppl as well. If no em that means no 50, gunit, the game and etc. I'm young only 23 and understand the game and where it came from. Wish my generation and the newer one could go back and relive the rap and whatnot we went through.
I hated this album so much when it came out, I guess I was looking for the "Classic" Eminem at the time. Years later I'm listening to this album all the time. Deja-Vu and My Mom were such good songs. This album is so underrated.
Don’t know what y’all were on but this was instantly the shit. Slim shady returned for 1 last album with Dre, it’s been a steady decline since 09 for him
i love how bloody beautifully dark and fucked up this album was, em put so much of himself into this during a really raw time in his life, it really is an experience in all of its own.
@@siLence-84 nah you don't know what ur talking about he rhymes dead vegetable, heterosexual, molesting you, nipple flesh tickle, and testicle. You go ahead and just type out a better bar, take all the time in the world you can't convince me you fucking FOOL!
What makes this such a great track for me is not only the flow, wordplay and absolute madness; but the interview with Westwood where he says this was meant to say "Good luck" to Nick and Mariah ;)
Chamomile_coffee speaking of obsessed, Mariah Carey made a song called obsessed to get revenge on Eminem for writing this song Bagpipes from Baghdad because the song had some insults about her.
Same, and I've just recently discovered this connection. So I'm rethinking some of Mariah's lyrics. The clues are there if you read between the lines, no matter how many times she claims not to know him. lol
Eminem is in my opinion the best wordsmith of 20th and 21st century the mans skills are so good he could tske out his haters with some of his best skillful rhymes.. bit he wouldn't use his best against their worst...
