His wordplay and flow is incredible in this song, Relapse/Refill is so underrated but its one of his most creative albums, only true em fans love this album
Most underrated album in the hip hop history. His word play, rhyming and hooks are something no rapper can do it nor it had done before. It was degraded because it is not for normal hip hop listeners.
***** Actually, he did all those songs sober. Em got clean in '08, and I assume probably started working on Relapse soon after leaving rehab. So he would be clean the entire process of recording relapse.
Like your username man, but no, Em hasn't really matured. Listen to anything current he's done that isn't purposefully a serous song. He just doesn't do this so much anymore because not many people like it. That's what I think at least.
Preach though it's not hard to do with all the different sounds out nowadays but no one can do it from fear of sounding out of place, em stomped on that in his music and in general
Evelyn, why you tryin to fight You will never win Severin, legs, arms, damn there goes another limb Pull the lever then; Trapdoor.!! Death is evident That fucking rhyme scheme is just mind blowing. The level of rap that is demonstrated not just in this song alone but The entire Relapse Album truly is top tier rapping. From bars, to flow cadence delivery rhyme scheme wordplay, the double triple, quadruple entendres.... EM is truly a one-for-one. Either recognize it/him for what he/it is (GOAT) or simply keep it moving. Bc honestly if you're too closed minded to understand how top tier this album really was/is from a rap ability standpoint...then you really shouldn't be and have no business critiquing it/him.
This is a year old comment but I’m here now and I love this comment ! Eminem is the greatest man to ever speak the English language in my opinion ! No man that ever lived can come up with the shit this man does it’s simple as that … only real em fans understand this shit dawg
+ovechkin8able Dre's production has been on point for about 25 years now. The man will go down a legend. relapse, however, was trash. Let's focus on the eminem show. Produced by Em and Dre, objectively Em's greatest work (MMLP but meh), there's some got damn Dre production.
People like to shit on Relapse but it’s honestly his best produced album and his flow/ cadence on songs like Buffalo Bill and Stay Wide Awake are probably his best ever. Now he just sounds like a robot in all of his songs
he don’t sound like a robot. he just dropped a track with snoop. he murders that beat. drops bars like “ i’m miraculous got more hits than contract killers “. you can’t lose that
@@ВикторВасиленко-х3ю i haven't heard any song from Nas or any other rapper that can compare to the whole relapse/refill era, literally nobody can't compare to how diverse Eminem is with flows and lyrics
Em just has that perfect way of flowing while still telling an amazing story. This song in particular always stands out. "Someone's in, the back of my damn house rummagin. It's a girl, she looks pretty thin, but I want to skin." He's talking about the ending of Silence of the Lambs. Clever!
My Eminem albums list 1.MMLP (Classic) 2.Eminem Show (Classic) 3.Relapse (Rhyme sheme and flow is insane) (Classic) 4.SSLP (Classic) 5.MMLP2 (Classic) 6.MTBMB Side A and B 7.Recovery 8.Kamikaze 9.Encore 10.Revival 11.Infinite
One of my fav Em songs of all time.. simple beat (how it's meant to be), amazing flow, and he just makes words rhyme that don't actually rhyme.. genius
I can’t believe y’all ain’t appreciate this version of Eminem in 09. I swear he was gettin back to his Slim Shady ways. I feel like he watered himself down on Recovery and the other albums afterwards. He was perfect lyrically on Relapse!!!
the things he is able to do with enlgish and especially pronunciation are genius.. I wish he'd make more songs like this one nowadays.. where he plays with rhymes and accents .. plus the dark lyrics fit it perfectly
Unfortunately We will never get another masterpiece like this from Em, for some reason shortly after this album he forgot how to make catchy flows and songs period, yes he has his moments but no where near as consistent as he was from 2000-2009
Dr Dre stopped producing his albums Em wanted to do his own thing. He sounds the best with Dre though you can tell Dre really loves Em gives him his best beats. A lot of beats on this album were supposed to be on Detox.
@@Francis_Higgins that’s surprising then and it begs the question why Em can’t do that on his new albums. Their all TRASH imo and I used to be a huge em fan. Can’t really see his artistry in any of his new work it feels and sounds like a completely different artist.
The reason was rehab. He stopped doing drugs and also even more important the dude was 37 years old bro plus doing this on the highest lever for 15 years upuntil that point , just think about that for a second.
I love how Em can switch his flow up. Unlike these new mcs. Back in the day when he dropped something no one coulda predicted what that fire shit was gonna flow man.
This and Music Box are insane Underrated Besides everything eminem normally delivers like unbeliveable word play flow and lyrica his topics are wild. Who else talks about this? Unique and mastered
It's sad to say but too many years in bad neighborhoods has desensitized me. When I hear gunshots and screaming I just lock the door and go back to playing video games....
This is some of ems best if not best word play and rhyme schemings I’ve ever heard from him. A lot of people don’t rate relapse including em himself but it’s one of my favourite Eminem albums to date. The beats are on point, his rhyming and word play throughout the album, his story telling and overall raping ability in this album is amazing.
Eminem didn't make these lyrics to be put on a screen while the record is starting in the background. Someone just did it for other people to listen to it and read the lyrics and maybe rap to it.
Insanely brilliant lyrics and extraordinary flow as always. the style he's spittin' it with in this one kinda reminds me of B-Real, ...a compliment imo.
*Who'da knew'da buddha'd do to me what it's done, Such cynicism when there's ism in my system* He's saying "such cynicism when there's "ism" in his system." Ism meaning weed(Buddha). Who knew the weed would give him such cynicism when it's in his system? "Blunt hypnotism lift the spliff up to my lips son," meaning he's getting his hypnotism to be cynical when he's smoking his blunt(spliff). It sounds like "this isn't in my system," but if you listen carefully, you'll hear "ism" instead of "isn't". The lyrics really don't make sense with "this isn't" in that bar, if you think about it. Either way, lyrics are pretty close. Figured I would clarify that for everyone so you're not confused.
Who'da knew the Buddha do to me what its done Such cynicism when there's izm in my system Blunt hypnotism, lift the spliff up to my lips, son So much on my hands I've got to give my kids a fist bump
he also used a chainsaw for most of his victims. he wanted to be like leatherface and wanted to make him victims suffer the way leatherface would've made them
Eminem is fuckin nasty on this mic.. When he tries his absolute best he's untouchable.. His presence in music will always linger in the airwaves of beat and rhythm ..
